Using on a leather notebook for Field Book style notebooks, they are a little loose and could have greater tension for better hold.

A very well made item! I appreciate the color choices as I have several notebooks and planners. And they're fun to match.

These will work for passport and standard TN style notebooks, as well as 3.5" x 5.5" pocket notebooks like Field Notes or Log + Jotter. Mostly. The caveat here is that because they're designed to fit a wide range of sizes, they don't do wonderfully at any of them. On smaller (passport/pocket sized) notebooks they can feel a bit loose, on larger ones they're a bit tight.That said, they're as strong as the official TN jump band replacements while also being cheaper, thinner (less bump in the page), and pre-crimped closed (no knots needed). About the only thing I really wish was that someone made a version with an even smaller diameter cord because I hate the bump in the page toward the centre of the book.

Better for a B6 passport sized travelers journal. Still works for standard size but they’re tight.
