- · Sunflower Wax is a hard, fine crystalline (almost powder like), plant wax made through the winterization of sunflower oil (cooling oil very slowly and extracting high melting parts of it during the process).
- · Sunflower Wax is used in Lipsticks, Mascaras, Decorative Cosmetics, Lip Balms, Salves, Ointments and any skin and hair care products. Suitable for natural and vegans cosmetics formulations.
- · This wax adds lubricity, skin protective film and increases melting point (temperature at which your product starts to melt) of your final homemade cosmetics. Use it as a thickener, emolliency and film formation aid.
- · Sunflower Wax is light in color (white to yellowish-white) and has odor specific to fatty/oily products. Improves oil binding (keeping together oils of different polarities, thus, avoiding formation of oil droplets on the surface of the balms, lipsticks).
- · To incorporate into your DIY cosmetics products: combine together with your other oils, butters and waxes and heat up while stirring until everything is melted and uniform. Melting temperature of this wax is 165ºF-171ºF (74º-77ºC). Comes in convenient resealable/reusable stand up pouch that is easy to use and easy to store.
