KONKA Kitchen Faucet Filter Tap Water Filter, Water Purifier with 4 Filter Cartridges 9 Stage Filtration for Home Kitchen Bathroom

After moving house, I was kind of apprehensive of the water. Sometimes, when boiled, it had a cloudy appearance. Really wanted a filter. I was used to the PUR water purifier and wanted a something similar to that in India. Agreed PUR is of another level like providing safe drinking water out of normal water. My requirement was for an inline one, which can fit on the tap. Not the bulky ones with wires, tubes and heavy maintenance. This one had the same form factor as that of the PUR so just tried it out. Konka just contains a ceramic water filter and a switch to direct to normal water and filter water. It was proved so good to me, still going good after 8 months. I have started on the second filter a month back.Good things:- Very handy and easy to install. Take a look at all the provided fittings you should be able to find one that fits your tap. Make sure you have the teflon tap wound over the tap couple of times to ensure that it stays sealed.- Instantly provides filtered water- Pack provides enough spare (3 additional filters - 4 in total). Sand paper to scrub the stained filter- Plastics are sturdy, filters last well if cared forNot so good things:- Nothing much - It is just a filter not a real purifier with multiple level of chlorine/charcoal - don't expect that. But as a filter it does a fine job.- Initially I used to scrub the ceramic filter real hard - found that the scrubbing in turn scrubs the cream off and the size of the filter reduces. So I am careful nowOverall a value for money product.

I was amazed at the product and its performance once I installed it. I is DIY, and easy. Comes with four filter cartridges (i.e three spare). A nice product which was badly needed in the kitchen........only that it is Chinese make. I noticed this after installation. Go for a similar Indian product.

It is an inconvenient product, not DIY(no tools to do it youself), pic looks bigger than actual product. Not used it and returned it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the engineering design and the product presentation. Everything comes in a neat box with all the washers, bolts, brackets, teflon tape, to smooth the installation process. I usually buy products from Water Science but this one beats their Kitchen filter in design, engineering and aesthetics by a huge margin. Love it when manufactures take time out to get the design right and present the product in a neat secure packaging. Highly recommend!Keep in mind to use the washer to fasten the adapter to the tap, otherwise it will leak. If there is a leakage it is mostly because of bad installation as a result of fastening without a washer.

The filter provided gets blocked every other day, We are staying in City where the water comes from the Municipal Corporation, so this is not expected. We have to clean the filter with sand paper every other day. I feel that this is a major drawback for using the filter. If that issue is resolved somehow then this would be very good option to buy, till then stay away from this
