Our front door is twenty-five years old. During the months when the weather allows, we enjoy the air that flows through the glass louvers. Periodically the cranks fail so without them the window remains closed until replacement cranks can be purchased. Over the years the cranks purchased always seem to be of the same quality . . . these jalousie operators are manufactured in Taiwan. Installation requires patience and sometimes it's necessary to modify the assemblage. Never the less, the end result is the crank operators work, perhaps not as efficiently as the originals but they do open and close the louvres as expected. The price of a new jalousie window door has never been a consideration as these cranks are suitable replacements for the originals. We keep additional new cranks on hand just in case one is needed. Also one never knows if the manufacture of these essential louver operators comes to an end. After all these years of enjoyment the door would not serve our fresh air needs anymore. Pleased to know companies continue to make them . . . only wish they were made int the USA.

Well built and good quality, but I wish the stud that came with it to connect the link from the operator to the internal link that moves the glass slats was longer. It was too short to allow the e-clip that snaps onto the stud to hold it all together. I had to get a Dremel tool with a grinder wheel and grind down the thickness of the operator link to get the e-ring to snap into the slot on the stud

This worked. No modification required . Just replaced the 1950’s -era one that finally stripped out its gear . Holds the windows panes shut tight . Just don’t overdo it on cranking !

Fits and works as advertised, way cheaper than buying identical item locally

My old window cranks finally broke after 40+ years of abuse. These were a perfect fit and solved the problem. They were also very reasonably priced. A bit of a fiddly job requiring simple tools and some manual dexterity, but doable. Make sure you accurately measure your existing hardware and compare to the mechanical drawing provided online by the manufacturer.

Your mileage may vary, but for my case this product turned what should’ve been a two-minute install into one that took half an hour and a trip to Home Depot. Unfortunately for me, this product only mostly fits my window. The included screws were just a shy too thick so I had to buy new screws at Home Depot. Also, and worst of all, the pin connecting the two arms was wider than the gap to insert the crank. This meant that I couldn’t put the crank together first; I had to put it all together while it while inserted into the opening. This made installation extremely difficult as I had to also use pliers to attach the retaining clip. In such a narrow space, I’m surprised I was able to do it at all. Finally installed, the crank does work, but the window doesn’t open as fully as my original ones. So ultimately it works, but installation (for my case) was a real pain. I won’t be buying this one again for the other windows I have, especially the ones higher up.
