BabyCakes Flip-Over Complete Cake Pops Maker Kit

I really am enjoying my BabyCakes cake pop maker. It is so easy to use and makes consistently good cake pops. The recipes included are simple and taste very good. I really like the recipe for the Cherry Cake. To fill the wells, I use my Oxo Good Grips Cookie Scoop (the small one) and use a slightly rounded scoop of batter. The scoop makes it quick and simple to create lots of goodies. I also purchased the book "175 best babycakes recipes"; by Kathy Moore and Roxanne Wyss. I have tried 4 of the recipes for cake and 3 for glazes and love them all. I highly recommend this product!Update 4/1/13: I am still loving the cake pop maker. It has worked well and I have had no problems with it. People who have tried the pops are consistently happy with them. Just a few suggestions:-I recommend the paper sticks. Even with dipping the ends in icing first, the plastic ones come out of the pops before you are ready.- I still use the small Oxo Good Grips cookie scoop instead of the bottle provided. It is much simpler and wastes less batter.- If you decide to put sprinkles on the pops, hold them over a bowl or measuring cup as you put them on, then you can put the excess back in the bottle and will not waste as many sprinkles.

This was bought as an Xmas gift and it was fun to use. Unfortunately, it broke during our third attempt.The black handle that rotates the cooker is held in place by two tiny screws and a small piece of plastic. The screws came out and the plastic broke off. The top handle is no longer attached and it's not safe to use. We didn't do anything unusual, it just snapped when we were trying to flip the cake pops.Since we've had it for less than 30 days, I'm going to contact the manufacturer. Will update, afterwards.Followup: The manufacturer was very accommodating, professional, and easy to work with. They provided a replacement.

What a great idea! I bought my daughter a donut maker because she wanted Dunkin Donuts all the time, and I wanted her to have healthier options. I wanted to put it to good use, so I tried making a lot of different baked goods in it. They were good, so I recommended to my other daughter to buy one, but when we were looking at them, I saw this babycakes with the rotating pan and thought it would work even better, since you could flip it and cook all sides evenly.It is fabulous. We make everything in it and fast! Pancakes (just use your regular batter and fill the little bottom holes to the top. We then dip them in little saucers of syrup and serve fruit on the side), cheese biscuit balls (same thing as pancakes, just make a regular biscuits, add shredded cheese) and muffins. I highly recommend it. Everything tastes wonderful, and light.Use your creativity, I don't think you could go wrong. I do recommend at first underfill rather than overfill your first batch. Then you can make adjustments from there.

I was very excited to try this product after seeing it recommended by someone on one of my groups. However, excitement quickly turned to disappointment when it broke upon first usage. The first batch of pops/donut holes came out nice. However on refilling for the second batch, the plastic on the back of the baking part broke off as I was turning it. I now have exposed heating plates and a product that won't flip, which negates the whole flip-over aspect. I have just wasted quite a bit of money on this product. Beware if you purchase this. I wish I could get my money back.

I would advice the seller next time to take off the original price tag of what they paid for the device when it cost them a lot less than what they sold it. I was thinking this would work more in line with my waffle maker where you get a done light to let you know it has finished. On this device you have to just guess and then look

Pros: Easy to use, easy clean up, recipes in the book are AWESOME!! The batter dispenser that comes with it is simply awesome and allows for the little ones to get in there and help you!! I was more than happy to find that it came with a stand and sticks for them! I have another cake pop maker that I had purchased and as it was stand alone, I had to purchase everything separately. I tried giving my other one away and instead people just want to borrow mine until they get theirs in the mail. I love it, my kids and grandchildren love it! Its a great way to do some fun baking with small ones and SIMPLE clean up!!!Price was excellent!!! I looked elsewhere to find a comparable one and kept coming back to this one.Cons: NONE
