I am a new pressure canner practitioner. I’ve been watching tons of YouTube videos on the topic. I ran across a video that suggested Citric Acid baths for canning potatoes and how it helps retain the white of the potatoes after processing. I’m glad I used it because as the YouTube creator mentioned, it does keep them from darkening. The potatoes look way more appetizing than they do without using it.I would highly recommend using it if your potatoes look less than appetizing after processing.

This was my first time ordering citric acid from amazon, I use it for cleaning deodorizing and descaling. If you’re wanting citric acid for dusting candy, this will do you just fine. It is sour, so you won’t be disappointed in the performance there. For cleaning and…., this won’t last you long at all.I did appreciate not having to mess with a zipper bag that doesn’t want to seal properly, and for that reason alone it was worth the price. The small bottle made it significantly easier to use than if it’d come in a resealable bag. I cut a small area from the inner seal to make dispensing easier.I struggled to successfully remove calcium buildup in my bathroom sink, even combining it with vinegar made little difference. Unsure whether it’s a quality issue or not.It has come in helpful when it came to deodorizing food containers that hung on the smell of the food stored in it.
