Desk goals in a small space
Love, love, love this lap desk there’s honestly nothing bad to say about it. I live in a small apartment and don’t have room for a full-size desk, so I needed something compact, versatile, and functional. This is perfect. It gives me a dedicated workspace without taking up space, and I love that I can use it anywhere in bed, on the couch, or even take it with me on the go. It’s super easy to adjust the height and angle, and everything from eating to writing to working on my laptop just feels better with it. It wipes clean easily, sturdy, and even has a little drawer and book/tablet stand that I actually use. It’s made my daily routine so much more comfortable and productive. Seriously one of the best purchases I’ve ever made!

This is exactly the lap desk/table I was looking for! It’s big enough for my laptop and still have room for papers. The book stand was an added bonus! It sits in a groove on the table or has legs that flip out. The lowest height is perfect for me to work sitting on my couch and still actually have room for my cat to curl up in my lap. The drawer on the side is a bit difficult to open, but I don’t have to worry about it sliding open accidentally. The sled style legs are pretty great, but it HURTS if you have your finger in the way when you fold them down. They are, however, super easy to flip closed one handed. It’s a tad heavy, but it’s extremely sturdy. I think the weight limit on it said like 80 lbs! There was virtually no assembly—just take the styrofoam off the corners and you’re good to go. The top isn’t slick so my laptop hasn’t slid at all, but it does come with a thing you pop into the groove in the bottom to keep it from slipping off if you need it. The tilt is awesome, but I wish it had a setting that was between flat and the first tilt level. I’ve not even had it a week and I’ve used it every day. So far, so good. I already told my adult children that they are all getting one for their birthdays this year!

Perfect for bed use but also for other usage
Great table. I was laid up in bed after knee surgery and this was helpful for eating plus using my laptop for work and personal use. It is very sturdy and the design makes it so it doesn't fall over. Also, the material hold your items in place. A mouse can move a little if you have it tilted but you get used to it. The drawer on the side helps.I researched and there is a lot of competition and this was the best for the money. There is one level below this by the same company for less but I chose this one because it has all the right attributes. There is no cupholder but maybe that is because it could move.

Well-designed but Large and Heavy
I'm a person who likes everything that comes into my little house to be well-designed and as small and simple as possible. I work in bed for an average of two hours in the morning and, being a bit physically challenged- want to make that experience ergonomic and unthreatening to my black and neck. I bought the extra-large laptop desk, thinking it would give me maximum flexibility and space for several books and notebooks. It seems to me very sturdy, likely to last, and solid. However, it's too heavy for anyone with disabilities to lift and store and bigger than it needs to be for my purposes. I ordered the medium-sized model the next day, for comparison. Just what I need. Half the weight. I can write easily in my large sketchbook-sized notebook, balance a book--watch movies on my ipad, I suppose, or use my Macbook Air if I did either of those things, which I don't. The medium size, in comparison to extra -large, is flimsier, its mechanism more fragile. It lacks the drawer and neat slots for techie toys. It's surface is shamelessly black plastic while the larger one is fake-leather. (It's not ugly, just minimalist.) At half the weight and size, however, I can lift it with one hand to store or shift. Thus I will not be stressing the mechanism by daily raising and lowering. I'll be returning the big one--which should suit a bigger, stronger person just fine. If you want a floor desk, it would work for that as well. Would probably, because of its stability, be great for kids.

Believe the hype--it's perfect
It's all the little extra touches where this bed desk shines. Because it shows how completely the designers thought it through. The detachable book holder is one of my favorite features. Not only does it lock into the slat at the top of the desk (as seen in the main picture), there are small legs on the back of it that unfold, so you can use it separately as its own device, anywhere you want. The small side drawer is just big enough to hold a charging cord or two, or some pens and pencils. The top slat will not only keep the book holder in place, it will hold your phone or tablet too. (One thing: the photo is a little misleading in that when the desk is at an angle, anything in the slat leans forward, making it unusable.)The no-slip surface is nice and grippy without being sticky. Easy to clean, too.The legs are a work of art. They fold up without any complications, and hold firmly in place. You can adjust the height to keep whatever you're looking at on eye level. And it tilts to multiple angles, so you can use it flat, or like an easel. All of these things are done with locking mechanisms that are insanely easy to use. There's even a little doohicky that locks into the bottom slat, giving your laptop a ledge that prevents it from falling off the desk. The only thing that's missing is a cup holder, but I understand its absence. Once you tilt the tabletop, it would become useless.Unless it could be made to do my taxes, fold laundry, and make supper every night, I can't think of anything I would change about this thing. The designers really considered the needs of the user and thought through all of its functions, and that's the kind of product I love. This might just be the perfect bed desk. Worth ever penny.
