From the Manufacturer Unleash the power of high-speed network performance and give your business the additional capacity it needs to support essential applications with the Cisco SG 100-24 24-Port Gigabit Switch, a Cisco Small Business Unmanaged Switch. It’s extremely easy to deploy the switch into a new or preexisting network configuration, giving you a quick path for connecting up to 24 individual devices with wired, Gigabit Ethernet speeds. Increase the size of your network by adding new computers or access points, or expand the reach of your servers and network-attached-storage to remote locations in your business. The switch also builds powerful energy-savings features into your network operations which allow you to reduce your costs and energy usage with one, simple upgrade. --> 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports on the front of the switch deliver the connectivity and stability that your small business needs demand. The Cisco SG 100-24 24-Port Gigabit Switch avoids complicated installation procedures or technical configurations: It simply works. Uncomplicated Installation You don’t need any additional software or technical configuration in order to deploy the switch in your small business environment. The Cisco SG 100-24 24-Port Gigabit Switch works right out of the box, quickly integrating into a typical small business network without complicated installation procedures or costly network downtime. Transferring files and sharing multimedia elements between systems becomes a reliable, smooth experience for devices connected via the 24-port switch. In addition, integrated Quality-of-Service (QoS) control mechanisms work to improve the transfer quality of essential network information–such as video teleconferencing or voice-based transmissions–without sacrificing your business’s ability to perform typical network functions. Energy-Conscious Operation A built-in energy-saving feature allows the switch to reduce your power consumption and related costs without any configuration from an end-user. The switch will automatically enter sleep mode when necessary, turning off unused ports and automatically adjusting its internal power capacity to deliver full support for your connected devices when they need it–and making sure that resources aren’t wasted when they don’t. Quality-of-Service controls ensure that your business's critical network traffic runs high-priority overtop your normal network operations. Automatic Adjustments The switch also comes provisioned for auto-switching Ethernet capability. This allows the Cisco SG 100-24 24-Port Gigabit Switch to automatically sense the speeds of connected network devices and deliver the appropriate connection speed depending on the compatibility needs of legacy products. Similarly, automated MDI and MDI-X cable detection eliminates the need for crossover cables when using the switch. Installations run smoother when integrating the switch into an older network architecture that relies on a mix of uplink ports and regular hubs to make the connections between devices; you can use either standard, straight-through Ethernet cables or crossover cabling to connect devices to the switch. Rackmount Installation and Visual Troubleshooting If your small business is already set up with a server rack environment, the Cisco SG 100-24 24-Port Gigabit Switch will fit directly into your existing infrastructure via an included rackmount kit. Lights on the front of the switch correspond to the network status of its 24 ports. This lets you make a quick visual analysis of your network activity, affording you the opportunity to assess situations that might need troubleshooting. If a device suddenly drops offline or a segment of systems suffers a sudden outage, you’ll be able to isolate the issue simply by looking at the front of the switch. The device also comes with a limited lifetime warranty that gives you peace-of-mind assurance and helps prevent costly downtime for your business’s key operations. Features include: 24 ports of Gigabit Ethernet (10/100/1000) connectivity deliver top-quality performance for high-bandwidth voice, video, and wireless applications Two combination mini Gigabit Interface Converter ports help you deploy the switch in your existing high-speed network Power-saving technology automatically enters sleep mode, turns off unused ports, and adjusts power as needed Quality-of-Service features help preserve your network bandwidth while providing clarity and reliability for your critical network applications Automatic MDI/MDI-X cable detection automatically adjusts for different cable types in use on your network Automatic speed and full- and half-duplex sensing helps ensure that connected devices are running at the right network speed Supports rack-mounting for easy integration into an existing server environment. Solid switch that was worth paying the money for
I recently upgraded my home network from 100 Mbps to 1 Gbps ethernet. My network is rather large and has a large number of AV devices on it as well as computers, servers, and several video game consoles. I use Crestron throughout my house to control A/V, HVAC, and other things which can be network intensive. Prior to installing this switch my installers tried to go with a lower budget option. We had several issues and device lockups. Fortunately, I was able to quickly ascertain that our "low budget" switch was the issue. I ordered this switch from Amazon and swapped it in and have had absolutely NO problems since even under very heavy load. It makes absolutely NO sense to buy a cheap switch unless you do not value your system integrity or your time. I absolutely recommend this product and am very happy with it.

Works great
I don't know that much about networking but the new house I just bought had ethernet throughout so we needed a switch with 12+ connections. This was recommended to me by a friend who does networking, and also has his own Cisco switch at home. This worked great - it really was just plugging in the cables and plugging the modem into this and then bam, instant internet. Speed definitely seems great but again I'm no expert. Definitely like this switch though.

nice!
i got this switch for a small office i am setting up. in this gigabit era, it makes sense to spend a little more for a gigabit switch. files are only going to get bigger, so you need something that can keep up. the price wasn't bad at all...imo. the switch works fine....did a few tests with it and all ports are working at gigabit speeds. will buy again if i see the need to...or the upgraded version...if one exists.

Silence is golden
The fanless design of this unit makes it ideal for my home office. I bought this unit when my Cisco SR224G (also fanless) died after a couple years of faithful service. I would definitely recommend the SR2024T as an inexpensive 24-port Gigabit switch that is quiet. It seems every other switch I have ever been around, and I have been around a lot of hubs and switches over the years, have really noisy fans. Great job Cisco!

Very happy
I purchased this to replace a 10 year old 24port switch and so far, it works beautifully. Easy to install on my small business network. I specifically purchased this unit because it doesn't have a fan which I consider an additional point of failure that really isn't needed in my environment. Looking forward to many years of use from this unit.

Two Thumbs up!
This was a great switch for a small office setting. Most of the work we do in this office is in the cloud and we needed a way to add ports for the work stations, printers as the router did not have enough ports. This worked out great for us. Very simple to install!

Great product!!!! It does what is expected to do
Great product. Plug the cables and start working immediately..... I was a little surprise that this switch didn't have a power switch (or at least I didn't figure out one yet) but other than that is just a great product. Works great, very reliable !!!!!

Great Switch
Plug it in and it works, Nothing to manage or mess with. For the smaller business this is great. If you want more features and a managed switch this may not be what you want but for the simple smaller network its perfect for us.
