Elemis - Pro-Collagen Celebration Duo

This was a very expensive product set that I bought as a treat. £90+ though not a lot to some is a huge extravagance for me. Seeing as two expensive products which were both full size came together in a nice little presentation set, I thought why not. Imagine my disappointment when the set arrived to find the presentation box a little crushed in one corner. The products inside are fine and amazons outer packaging was fine. For such an expensive item to be carelessly stored in the warehouse is worrisome. I'm sheilding so arranging a return is more hassle than its worth as I'd have to get someone else to do it and the products themselves are fine, I'm just a little disappointed that something that was a luxurious treat is in any way damaged.

A good way to try the two products and neroli smells so good.

The box arrived open and in a terrible condition- once I opened it, the cream was missing!!!!On top of that, the cleansing cream had dried and Solidified - never buying beauty products deom Amazon again

This beautifully presented set contains a full-size Elemis Cleansing Balm 105g and a full-size Elemis Pro-Collagen Marine Cream 50ml and a super soft cleansing cloth. It is great value for money as it works out under £10 more than buying the Marine Cream on it's own!The box the set comes in is luxurious and stunning, which makes it a perfect gift for a loved one or dear friend. The box can also be used as a keepsake box- it is too nice to throw away!The cleansing balm is wonderful in my opinion. I have used the regular, non-fragranced cleansing balm in the past but this is something else! It is brilliant at removing make-up, it makes my skin feel clean, soft and hydrated- putting the needed moisture back into my skin after a long tiring day at work. The smell is so decadent too- I love it. It feels like I am having a spa treatment in my own home, what a way to wind down and relax. I use the soft cleansing cloth to help rub it into my skin in circular motions. My skin can sometimes be a little sensitive but no flare ups here!The Marine Cream is also lovely, again it smells gorgeous and very pampering. My skin is a little on the oily side from time to time (hormonal) but after one months use I have not noticed my skin becoming any oiler from using this cream - which is a good thing I suppose, but having a cream that reduces the oil would be better (and I have used a cream in the past that achieves this). That being said my skin does look plumper and my fine lines appear reduced. It's not a heavy cream and it absorbs into the skin quickly.Overall I am very happy with this set, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase for someone as a special gift, but for my skin the Marine Cream does help with the oiliness. Perhaps theres something else I could add to my regime that would help that, so I could continue to use the cream as it has other great benefits for my skin.

The Elemis Pro-Collagen Celebration Duo brings together Elemis' award winning pro-collagen marine cream and pro-collagen Neroli cleansing balm in a well-presented quality presentation box; the marine cream being an anti-wrinkle cream and the Neroli cleanser being a deep-cleansing lotion. As a limited edition set it is a quality cleansing, hydrating and nourishment regimen for facial, neck and décolletage maintenance. The potions carry a light and pleasant scent (Neroli Oil being an essential oil produced from Bitter Orange tree blossoms) and are smooth and creamy - only a small (pea-sized) quantity is required, smoothed and warmed in the hands then applied to the relevant areas. Once the excess is rinsed from your hands you will feel the benefits of the hydration and softener. An internet hunt revealed that Elemis regularly figures in lists of the best cleansing balms, they have a reputation for quality and clearly this is reflected in the price. Doubtless there are cheaper anti-wrinkle and cleansing creams, doubtless there are creams, oils, unctions and lotions that are as effective, but if you want all that plus a sense of pampered indulgence, this Duo Gift Set ticks all boxes.

These are nice, thick products; the cleanser effectively removes make up, has a smooth consistency and a lovely scent. Similarly, the day cream smells great but is quite heavy and not great for oily skin and I found it too heavy for underneath make up. I think dry skin or older skin in need of the collagen aspect would be better suited to this.Above all, I'm not sure I would spend the high price on this, given the cheaper alternatives available.

I can see why people spend money on these products as they are lovely to use. This set is beautifully presented and comes with a large pot of cleansing balm which you apply all over your face and then remove with the exfoliating cloth that comes with it. The smell is subtle but very nice and my skin feels noticeable smoother and fresher even after the first use. The pot of day cream is smaller and though I’m trying not to use to much, I can see it will run out first. It’s very nice to use and sinks in beautifully. I’ve been using the 2 together every morning for a couple of weeks and my skin does look brighter. It’s not a miracle but it’s very nice to use and I will be very tempted to buy more when it runs out. It is expensive though and I can’t be sure the results are radically different from a cheaper moisturiser.
