BY FAR, the best adapter for the SX50. Look no further.
This adapter is of the absolute highest quality. It's precision machined metal (not plastic junk like the Canon version), and fits just the way you would want it...not hard to spin on, but firm, precise feeling, and it locks down with a positive feel, without too little or too much effort. HIGHLY recommended. I chose to use the Hoya DMC PRO1 MC UV filter as it is of a really high quality and is affordable, the but price paid for this kit was worth it just for the adapter, without any question. I also found an OEM Canon 58mm lens cap on "that auction site" for a few bucks, and it was of much better quality than the stock cap and says Canon on it, so there you go. I really just bought the kit for the adapter, but again, it's well worth it. Also, I want to say what a good company Goja is to work with. You feel like you are dealing with people who care about selling good products and delivering good service. Don't hesitate or look further, buy this kit for your SX50.

Fits Canon SX50HS. You have to twist on hard for it to lock!
I bought this for my Canon SX50HS, since I already had some filters for my other Canon. While Canon seemed to have some pretty expensive adapters, I decided to give this one a try. While there were no real detailed directions, I initially had problems and frustrations because the adapter ring seemed to continually fall off with the ring, filter and lens cap! I almost returned this unit!I finally figured out what I did wrong after reading reviews and seeing videos online. You have to really twist on the adapter! It feels like you might be twisting it on too hard, but once you do, it will snap in place and stay on.I now can interchange the filters with my other camera!

Really happy with the adapter
I recently bought an SX50 and can't live without my filters so I started looking into these adapters - after doing a lot of research on at least 1/2 a dozen websites I was getting all sorts of conflicting opinions. Some said get the 67mm, others said the 58mm is better. Canon only offers the 67mm size but the majority was in favor of the Lensmate version - unfortunately they have discontinued it. 'The 67mm is too much bigger than the lens itself so I'm afraid of breaking it' vs 'The 58mm is too small and you will get vignetting', 'Don't get a metal one, it will ruin your camera', 'I couldn't get it on - its too tight!' and so on ... I needed it to be as pack-able and sturdy as possible since I am taking my cameras into the deep backcountry so I really wanted to go with the smaller size and finally just ordered this one. It goes on firmly but certainly not overly tight and I don't plan on removing it so the wear is not a problem (If you were taking it on and off every time you changed filters I could see how after a few hundred times it might wear through the plastic ribs but that is a non issue for me.) As for vignetting - from the reviews I was worried about actual blacked out shadows in the corners like you might get with a lens hood that gets in the way, I might as well have not worried. There is a little of the normal gradual darkening that you get with almost any camera but I have taken photos of a white wall and outdoor scenes at both full wide angle and full 50X zoom at the largest 4000x3000 photo size with BOTH a UV and a CP filter STACKED and haven't noticed anything that was even close to being a problem for me.I haven't used the UV Filter that came in the kit because I have a Sigma that I'm happy with. I cleaned all the lenses & filters once with the microfiber and it seems to do its job.

But I do love this lens protector
Wasn't sure at first. But I do love this lens protector, I bought the canon SX50 it fits! At first I thought one ring was for the lens and one for if you wanted to add other lenses, I found out they connet together, then you put it on your lens, I found this out thanks to the people who answered my questions lol.. I also thought the new camera cap was gray, I was happy it was black! This is a nice lens to protect your camera lens. I've never had a camera like this, so I'm learning everyday. But am glad I bought this, now I'm not worried about scratching my camera lens. And the price was great! Compared to canon!! I even bought 2 extra batteries that were $15!! Canon extra battery is I think $45! The 2 I bought and tested, they are the same! The canon battery is just the same as the vivitar ones!! So don't spend all that money on extra battery!

I like a clear filter to protect the lens
I wondered if this58MM Lens Conversion Adapter Ring for CANON POWERSHOTSX50 HS Cameras + Ultraviolet UV Protection Filter + MagicFiber Microfiber Lens Cleaning Cloth would work well on my Canon SX50 HS since the Canon version is larger. I have lots of 58 mm filters for my Canon SL! and I wanted to be able to use them. I like a clear filter to protect the lens, so I thought an extra one would be nice and you can't beat the price. The microfiber cleaning cloth is a nice plus. The Adapter Ring is easy to put on the camera and it feels very sturdy and doesn't jiggle like some of the others I've read about. It is easy to remove, which I did when I accidentally put on my circular polarizer just a little too securely and found it easier to remove the adapter and then remove the circular polarizer from the adapter. I did not see any vignetting at any distance. I tested the filter, too, and did not see any distortion at all. I would recommend this to anyone with a Canon SX50 who likes to use filters. Digital Goja is a great seller and my product was delivered quickly.

Canon powershot adapter ring
I always think it is a good idea to protect expensive equipment so I added this conversion adapter ring and UV filter to my Canon SX50. They fit perfectly and the cleaning cloth is a nice extra. A tip on the ring, it will go on smoothly if placed properly. It took some trial and error on my part but it slid right on when I finally found the right positioning which was within a couple minutes. Don't force it. It clicks into place after a single turn. Also, get a new lens cap. The one that came with the camera is not big enough to go onto the filter.

The adapter goes on easily and comes off easily also with no difficulty
This adapter fits perfectly on my canon SX 50 HS camera. The adapter goes on easily and comes off easily also with no difficulty. I highly recommend this item as I see that there are some others on the market that people are having problems with. Not this one as I had no problem whatsoever.

Excellent product
Nothing to say really. The product I got it was it was supposed to be. After it screws on, there is a little wobble to it, but only if I manually wobble it. It wont do it by itself. Other than that, my color lenses screw on as they should, so all in all, good product. Worth the money

The only complaint I have is that the assembly should be more solidly on the lens assembly and you have to be careful that you don't knock it or jar it or it will fall off.It should have about a half of a turn rather than the bit presently available.
