Over all I give this blanket a 4 star review however I would definitely say there's very little on the market that's better. Positives versus Negatives:Positives:Heats up quick and each side can choose the level of heat they desire.Super fuzzyEasy to use controls with up to 20 levels of heatNegatives:Tends to slide around a lot and you will notice it bunches Or slips off the bed. If you have a pet that sits on top of your blanket that area will be super concentrated with heat while others will not.Wish it was larger as it barely covers a standard Queen size, I probably should have ordered a king for the Queen size bed.

I got this for my wife a few months ago but have held off reviewing until now because this is the kind of product that needs time before you see any flaws emerging. Up until now I've bought Sunbeam electric blankets from Walmart and we seem to go through one a year - eventually they all simply stop working or become so frayed that I don't feel safe with her using them.So far I'm impressed with this. This blanket is probably one of the softest I've felt. It has a preheat function and heat settings from 1-20. I've found about 14 to be the sweet spot - anything above that is way too hot. I've run it through the wash probably a half dozen times with no damage or loss of function.This was roughly double what I've paid for past blankets, but if it continues to hold up like this I'll have no complaints. I've recommended it to all my friends and family!UPDATE 11/29/2020. Seems I spoke too soon in my earlier review. Just shy of having this blanket for a year it's now fraying and pilling all over the place. I've followed all directions, washing on light and drying on low heat and it's now starting to drop pieces of fuzz everywhere. At this point it's unusable because of the mess it's generating on my sheets and carpet. Bitterly disappointed when I paid almost $90 for it at the time. As of writing this it's now down to $55 to further rub salt in my wounds. Feels like I got ripped off completely. Avoid this one!

Here in northern MN, we are expecting 2 nights with temps of -30F and windchills nearing -50F. I always so look forward to getting in my pre-warmed bed. I love the softness and loved using this to warm up my bed. I turned it on 10 minutes before bedtime, enjoyed the warmth while reading for a while, then turned it off. Never left it on at night, never got to he point of washing it, never stepped on or crimped the heating element portions. It has just been on the bed the whole time since receiving it.After 33 days, this morning the control showed a blinking E. I unplugged it (both ends) for a couple of hours, nothing. Tried fiddling with the cord some more, plugging into an outlet instead of a strip etc. Nothing. It's basically dead, and 3 days past the Amazon return deadline.The worst part is my dad always gets me an Amazon gift card for my birthday in December. After much searching on a worthwhile item, this is what I chose. Disappointed, and now I'll have cold feet on top of it.

Soft as warm butter. Lovely cream color. Super elegant look and feel.I think I have figured out why all electric blankets have horrible reviews regarding lasting. I think when you fold them and then sit on them or sleep on them when they’re crushed, you break the wires inside. Some a matter what you buy, treat it like it has breakable wires inside.

So far I’m disappointed with this product. I bought it for my wife as a gift, that was a mistake. The Queen size has dual controls- both must be plugged into an outlet and turned on to heat the whole blanket. One side seemingly doesn’t heat up at all (my side, am I right!?) while the other only heats at one end of the blanket in small sections. Uneven heating causes warm and cool spots. I’m going to order another and see if it’s the product itself or if I got a bad unit. Stay tuned..

My first review upon receiving the blanket:When I first got this blanket, it appeared to be used and re-packaged. After plugging it in, it did not work.My current review of the blanket:This blanket is a fire hazard, and I want my money back. When I first received this blanket it didn’t work, and I was all set to return it. Before doing so I tried it again and it worked, so I kept it. Last night the entire mattress was very hot to the touch. The blanket was not even turned on just plugged in, but the plastic was dial was so hot it was melting. There could have been a very serious fire had I not been home. Do not buy this blanket.

So I do love this blankets softness and how well it heats up, the only problem is that it moves in between my sheets. It's so smooth that it wont grip and stay on the bed. You have to adjust it every night and sometimes in the middle of the night. King bed. Slips and slides all over the place. Now it has spotty heating and I can't call Amazon due to covid19 to return. Highly unsatisfied with this blanket.

I ordered this for my camper because it’s during the beginning and end of the season in western NY. I was replacing an old band me down that had truly outlived it life expectancy.I received this just before our first weekend adventure so I plopped it in the camper without unpacking and testing it ahead of time.The evening was chilly so I turned it on before heading to bed- I put it up to 10 based on the old blanket I was replacing. So when I got into bed that night I feel like a I was climbing into a tortilla wrap that had just come off the griddle. It was so incredibly warm! I did end up turning it down to a more manageable 2 and slept the best I had in a long time. I may have even thrown off the sheets at one point and just wrapped myself in the blanket alone; it’s a good thing my husband doesn’t need blankets because he didn’t have any that night.Suffice to say this has been my new favorite addition to the camper and I may even bring it into the house this winter as an extra warm blanket for the living room.
