Flora Sunflower Oil Certified Organic 17-Ounces Glass

This is the only reliable brand of cold pressed sunflower oil I've found. I see some complaints that there is little to no flavor, and that's probably because it's cold pressed. This oil is GREAT for skin and hair, but probably not for cooking (unless you're using it cold as salad dressing or in a sauce). I use this sunflower oil to Oil Cleanse my face with, as well as using it with essential oils as a lotion, and as a moisturizer on my body. It sinks in and has a comedogenic rating of 0, meaning it does NOT clog pores. If you're looking for a great oil cleansing oil and have issues with break outs then look no further, this is the stuff. You can use this stuff from head to toe plain, add your favorite essential oils, or use it in natural beauty recipes to make things like scrubs, lotions, body washes, this is a really versatile oil for your natural beauty arsenal! Basic internet research will tell you that this oil is great for acne, is anti-ageing, protects from sun damage, and helps prevent skin infections. I've found that this oil certainly helps reduce my adult acne when used in Oil Cleansing with castor oil, and as an every day moisturizer. I've stopped using store bought moisturizers, cleansers, eye creams, and acne products all together - although I am blending my own with the use of some Essential oils, this Sunflower Oil is what has made the greatest difference because you need a skin friendly base oil to work with in the first place.

Really Okay

Well I bought this for a whole different reason. I'm a male who works outdoors and gets extremely dry skin on my face. I can't use anything that has a scent, alcohol, or pretty much any other unnatural ingredient. My skin has a reaction to the alcohol and scent. So I tried a bunch of things. Supposedly hypoallergenic lotions that didn't have a scent. No good. I tired coconut oil. That worked great but was a real pain to put on. It was a mess. Too runny when it's warm and like lard when it's cold. Tried olive oil. That was OK but I smelled like a salad and could taste it.Then someone I know recommended this. It is the best moisturizer for your face you'll ever use. About a table spoon is enough to cover your face. A slight but nice odor. And no taste wafts into your mouth. It is so light it absorbs into your skin in a matter of minutes so you can put it on about five minutes before bed and you don't have to worry about a nasty pillow case.Then one day I ran out of oil to cook with. So I used this. Now this is all I cook with. Really light and adds no taste or greasy feeling to you food.

The bottle arrive well packaged and the oil had a clean, fresh taste, and didn't have an after taste like some oils. I mix this with my protein drink for the Omega 6 & 9 oleic acids which lower LDL cholesterol levels. It's also high in essential Vitamin E. Good stuff.

No flavor, priced too high for this reason.the sunflower oil suppose to have a pleasant nutty smell and taste. i did not find it in this product.

This oil is absolutely AWESOME!!! I used it for oil cleansing, but recently I switched to an Indian Ayurvedic oil which I think works even better! (Before, I used this product with castor oil, but I felt that it was too drying; I wanted something that just cleansed my makeup and extra oils--not ALL of the oil). Now, after I am finished oil cleansing with the Indian oil, I put one drop of this oil onto my face to moisturize. It really is GREAT at moisturizing ALL parts of my body (I'll use it on my hands and other body parts sometimes) and it doesn't break my face out AT ALL... nor leaves me feeling greasy. It also sinks in the skin fast (not evaporating... actually absorbs) and doesn't just sit on top in a greasy layer that never absorbs like other layers. lol I also use this as a "primer" for my powdered makeup. Sometimes with powder and a brush, I can get dry flakes after I am finished. I put one drop on my face before I apply my makeup and it makes the powder blend in soooo smoothly... flawless skin!

This oil has a very nice flavor which is slightly nutty. It does have a strong nutty aroma, however. The first thing I made with it was mayonnaise, for which it worked better than you think it would. The nutty taste and aroma is almost absent (lemon juice and vinegar probably affect that). The mayo was absolutely delicious. I imagine it has many possibilities in salad dressings. Not sure I'd want to cook with it. I haven't weighed it, but it tastes very heavy, almost like peanut oil (not a bad thing). Very fine product, but unfortunately too expensive for everyday use.

I picked this up to try oil pulling. It works surprisingly well. I use a small amount (teaspoon)first thing in the morning on an empty stomach and swish it gently in my mouth for 20 min without swallowing. I rinse my mouth out with water afterwards. I haven't been using it long, but I can already tell the difference. The taste doesn't bother me at all, but it might be an issue for some.
