Great for Snowboarding
Really like this jacket. Decent insulation that doesn’t hamper movement while I’m snowboarding. The jacket is the perfect weight – not too heavy, not too light. Two Velcro pieces hold the flap down in the middle pouch pocket. The side pockets have zippers. Black cuffs have thumb holes to keep the cuffs from riding up your wrist. Even if you don't use the thumb holes, the cuffs will keep the snow out. The hood is a generous size and fits over a helmet. The only negative thing I can say about this jacket is that, like other anorak style jackets, the armpit vent on the left side does not have any mesh when the zipper is open. That’s because the zipper is a long double ended zipper that runs from the pit all the way down the side of the jacket. Open it from the bottom to put the jacket on, open it some from the top to allow ventilation in the pit area. The picture (for the Arctic color) shows the colors accurately, as the jacket I received looks just like the picture.I have a similar anorak jacket made by Volcom that costs almost double what this jacket costs. I like the Billabong better because of the insulation. As far as sizing, Billabong seems to run smaller than Volcom. My Volcom is a medium and it’s at least as big as the size large Billabong I bought. This is my first Billabong snowboard jacket and I’m very impressed with the quality, look, and fit. Definitely recommend it.
