Red Gecko Fitness Bike Pump w/Frame Mount & Built-in Presta & Schrader Valves + Inflation Needle

Nobody gave this to me for a review. I paid full price for this sucker, and this review is just out of the goodness of my heart :-)It's a great little pump! Pumped the tires up on my Huffy with no problem, and I'm sorry I don't know exactly what kind of tires they are but the bike is your basic cruiser with only one gear and the tires are quite large. I did not have to put in a huge amount of effort and both tires took under a minute each to pump up. It is actually small enough to fit into many purses and definitely in a backpack, and it is very lightweight.I only gave it four stars, however, because I can't figure out how to mount it onto my bike and there are no instructions provided. Also, as yet I have not found the pin attachment one would need to pump up a basketball.

Had a flat tire on the way to work today, so I had the opportunity to field test the bike pump... I had a lot of difficulty getting the pump attached to the Shrader valve on the new tube... I had to try a number of times before being able to pump without a ton of air hissing out. Also, the pin connecting the lever to the pump fell out, so that the lever separated from the rest of the pump. Luckily I was able to find the pin and press it back in, but the whole thing was a major hassle. Eventually got just enough air into the tube that I was able to make it to work.

It's small and easy to carry around. I can easily put it in my bag. However, the screws do not fit the pump rack to my bike. Besides, it is not quite friendly for me to pump my bike tire. Not easy as I expected.

Contrary to many reviews, I find this bike pump flimsy and very difficult to use. The handle is super uncomfortable and it takes a load of effort to pump it. Also, there's no gauge on it, when is fine for an emergency pump, but the description & glowing reviews made it sound like it was a solid choice for a daily commuter.It is very light, so would function well as a backup when out on a trip, I suppose, but I'm certain there are better options even for that.

I needed a small bike pump that was portable and easy to use and this definitely fits the bill. It takes a few tries in order to do it efficiently; however, once you figure it out it is very easy to use. Since it is a hand pump though, you can get kind of tired because you're pushing against your other hand as opposed to the ground, but for everyday pumps for the tires, I would highly recommend.

For the record the item arrive on time as promised. Had the opportunity to use it today, 32 days after I purchased it. Hooked it up to the bike valve, pumped once, and the entire thing came apart. There are threads that screw the aluminum housing into the plastic end, and they were apparently stripped on arrival. Tried to screw it back in, but as they are stripped, nope. Insult to injury, now I have a completely flat tire and no working pump. Save your money, not a great product.

This pump hardly saw any use for two years, but last weekend when I needed it, it failed me. It basically fell apart; I just purchased another pump, to replace it, one that is a little heavier, but hopefully it will hold up better.
