a long drawn out storyline
I thought the ending would be more so much less than what I expected. And I knew eventually she’d end up pregnant condoms forgotten. Yes so thankful it’s over. Wanting to read Josh and Bethany’s story dropping it if it’s more of the same. Wishing stories were still one and done!

so cliché, but Love finds a way
I purchased this book and am leaving my review voluntarily.Triggers: age gap, violence**spoilers**This is the conclusion to a 3 part story of Samantha and Liam. I liked both the H and h, something that doesn't happen often.Back story: Samantha, child violin prodigy - daughter of a traitor and whose mom left her. Liam, abused as a child now a security expert with his brothers. Sent by the government to kill her father, Samantha gets caught up as a young child. Liam feels guilty, and takes her into his home acting as her guardian. Fast forward to Samantha growing up, turning 18. She's in love with Liam, he is her whole world. He feels the same about her except he doesn't think he deserves her.Secrets come out, tragedies happen but eventually they come together.I usually don't care for trilogy's, and this story could've been compressed into 2 books but overall I am happy with the writing from this author. She made the other characters likeable and as there are several connected books, I will be reading those as well.

Disappointing conclusion in the North Security series
I’m literally speechless after reading Sonata or I’m just confused or baffled, I can’t even tell. Honestly, I don’t know where to start this review and if someone told me I would feel like this, after reading the last book in the North Security series written by Skye Warren, one of my favorite authors, I would definitely think it wouldn’t be possible. Yet here we are.I was really excited about the final book in this trilogy so I didn’t really mind the slow pace at first, but somewhere along the way it started to bother me. The story was dragging and I felt like I was still reading the second book, because nothing was actually happening or moving toward a wrap up. I kept staring at the reading progress on my Kindle which I never do when I’m invested in the story. I was shocked when I got to 80-85ish % without any real character growth, little progress on the mystery/conspiracy plot and no progress whatsoever on the relationship between Liam and Samantha. There were some entertaining scenes but their relationship remained exactly like it was on the second book. The push and pull remained the same for most of the book: Liam protecting Samantha, feeling guilty about his feelings, dealing with his childhood traumas and Samantha trying to convince him that there was no need for him to feel guilty, that she really wanted him and that he was worthy. Just like a repetitive cycle. Then, around 85% everything happened! Like in a blink of an eye, everyone was safe, happy and all the security issues were solved. What the hell happened? I couldn’t even figure out how everything was solved, I read the last 15% of the book 3 times and I still can’t understand how everything was pushed aside. I’m very disappointed so I can’t rate this book higher than 2 stars and the second star is only because Skye Warren writing is still notably good. I’ll still order Audition, the first book in the spinoff series, True North, because I believe it might be better, we’ll see.

The end
Interesting ending to Samantha and Liam's story. The epilogue was a nice touch at the end. You may not get all the answers in this last book but you get enough to be satisfied with Samantha and Liam finally getting there HEA.

Amazing book
A beautiful end to Liam & Samantha’s story. Looking forward to Bethany & Josh’s book. I savoured the book as it was the finale & I loved every bit of it. Thank you Skye Warren!

When the guardian and his ward have to fight for their future...
As far as conclusions go, well, Skye Warren hasn't missed a single trick here! Familial love, friend love, and the love of the person more important to you than breathing...all of it interwoven into the most magnificent story that I'd never realized I needed but am so very glad I have read! As the third book in the North Security Trilogy, well, I had very high expectations, and let me tell you, they were met with great aplomb!Samantha and Liam are on a rollercoaster whether they want to be or not, things from their pasts setting in motion the actions they have to undertake now. Familiar faces returning and the introduction of new ones amongst the supporting characters fleshed out the story brilliantly, and had me on the proverbial edge of my seat as I turned pages with bated breath, hungry for more of the story, needing to know more. And my heart is filled, even as it skipped beats, watching Liam and Samantha work through their story.Samantha is pretty incredible, so young and naïve, yet also worldly and wise. Liam, the epitome of the strong and silent type, and how he bends, but only for her. I am such a sucker for grumpy and sunshine combinations! And, you need to read these too, so that you can agree with me. So, what are you waiting for?

Heartwarming conclusion to an intense series!
"Love is a hard word. It's a weakness. I protect you. That's all that matters."Sonata was such a heartwarming conclusion to the North Security Series. I loved all the interactions between Samantha and Liam and the fact that she blossomed into such a strong young woman, who could render a man like Liam to his knees. The connection between them grew so much stronger and the intensity of their feelings was overwhelming. I also have to say that I adore Josh and Bethany. They had such sizzling chemistry, and their synergy and banter left me all hot and bothered. The action of the book had a good pace, building up the suspense until the last chapter. I only wished I could have learned more about Samantha's father. By the end, it felt like there could still be unfinished business regarding him. The last chapter was really raw and emotional and I was so thrilled that Samantha and Liam got their HEA. I hope we get to see more of them as a couple in the future.Yet another enthralling intense series from Skye Warren.

Sonata
What was the point of this book? It lent nothing to the story, was boring and drawn out. The hero has a sudden change of heart in the last 10% of the book with no sensible reason why - given there were 2 books prior to this explaining (badly) why he can’t give himself to her and can’t get rid of the guilt, etc etc. I still like the hero/heroine (ignoring their age difference) but this story was pointless. Also, it’s 3 books in and there still isn’t a resolution of the so called mystery of why her father is trying to off her and why national secrets are in so called musical notes. This book introduces her mother and again it’s a pointless arc. I cannot be more disappointed with this book. The first part started with promise but it really didn’t need to be drawn out into 3. Author needs a better editor and feedback team to help her write a tighter script
