The ear tip saga
It took me about a month and a half of owning the Sony WF-1000XM4s before I realized that the discomfort I was experiencing was due to the terrible ear tips, rather than improper wearing. I set out to find better, and these are my findings. Tested against the medium size stock eartips.Silicon tips:ALXCD silicon ($6.99) - amazon.com/gp/product/B08G4N1QP3Things I liked:- 3 pair, one of each size- Also included are a hard case and small microfiber cloth- These tips match the look of my black headphones nicely, and the interiors are colored for easy differentiation between sizesThings I didn't like:- These fit rather loosely, both in the ear and on the earbud. Going up a size improves fit and sound isolation, but I found the larges uncomfortably big for my ears.- Sound isolation is lacking, but this is expected with silicon tips.- I found that these tips gather earwax rather quickly. As mine is itchy, this translated to experiencing itching after an hour or two of use on each wear.SpinFit CP360 ($13.49) - amazon.com/gp/product/B07PJNHM3ZThings I liked:- Fit is excellent, in the ear and on the earbud. I wouldn't expect these to come out of the ear or off the earbud on their own. I found the medium size of these to be perfect.- Sound quality is phenomenal, incredibly crisp- While the sound isolation isn't perfect, it is probably the best I've ever had with a silicon eartip. Major props!- Medical grade silicon, which eliminated ear itching for meThings I didn't like:- Coming with only two pairs, and of different sizes, you'll want to be careful not to lose track of these- Packaging is disposable, leaving no good long term storage solution for extra pairs- I found the clear tips unattractive on my black earbudsFoam tips:FEYCH foam ($6.99) - amazon.com/gp/product/B07SN4HP5ZThings I liked:- These eartips come with 6 pairs- Also included is a hard case- These have good sound isolation, and better sound quality than the eartips included with the headphones- They fit well; the medium size tips offer a secure fit without any pressure, one of my biggest gripes with the Sony eartips. I have not experienced any itching, as sometimes happens with cheap foam tips.Things I didn't like:- These eartips extend well past the interior tube, causing me to question their durability. If you are confident if your size it might be best to buy the pack of just that size to allow plenty of extras.Comply foam ($25.99)- I have not had the opportunity to try these, as they cost almost as much as the other three pairs combined and I am on a college budget. I include them only for the sake of completeness, as many people swear by them. Conclusion:All of the tips listed here are going to provide a better experience than the extremely uncomfortable stock ones. If you have the money, you're going to have a much better experience and likely longer lifespan with the more expensive options. If you're less concerned about the money or want extras, the cheaper tips will serve you just fine. For sound isolation, pick up some foam tips. For frequent on and off, silicon will be much more convenient. For a workout environment I suggest foam tips, as they offer the better isolation in public settings and a tighter fit to prevent an ear falling out. I personally use foam tips as my daily drivers, as the added isolation is key when walking to class or listening in a crowded dining space.

YES, they work with Pixel Buds, and they fit in the case
So I recently got a pair of Google's Pixel buds. Not soon after, my dog got hold of them and ate the eartips. Great. What should have been a simple process of going online and ordering official replacements turned into a support chat with Google, who doesn't actually "sell" replacement eartips -- you have to contact support and provide the serial number of your buds, then they have to escalate it to management to have your request approved, after which they supposedly *allow* you to pay them $8 plus tax for replacement eartips. In the meantime, I was using tips from another set of buds that worked okay while in use, but they went too far into my ear canal and were uncomfortable, plus they wouldn't fit in the case to allow it to close and the buds to charge. So in order to charge the buds, I had to remove the uncomfortable eartips, and then put them back on when I was ready to listen again. So I went through the Google support steps, chatted with support, gave them my serial number, and then was told my case would be sent to management for approval, after which I would receive an email with a link to purchase the replacement tips for $8 plus tax.It has been a few days now, and Google never got back to me. In the meantime, I decided their process was BS and decided to find out if there were any third party products out there that would fit the buds and fit in the case for charging. I found multiple Reddit threads talking about the SpinFit CP360, but it wasn't clear if the threads were piggybacking off each other or if these were multiple users independently sharing their own positive experiences. I rated the claim as Unproven. When I checked the Amazon Q&A and saw the manufacturer saying they were compatible, I decided to go for it, as I knew I could return it with no issues if the manufacturer's claim turned out to be false or misleading. The good news is that they DO work with the Pixel Buds and fit in the charging case! They are also comfortable and provide great sound isolation, which enhances the sound quality of the Pixel Buds.If you're looking for replacement tips for Pixel Buds and don't want to deal with Google's support request nonsense, give these a try! I'm very happy with the quality and full compatibility.
