Creative Options 6202-77 Fine Arts 2-Tray Art Box with Auto Open Trays

This little box has been so helpful to me as an art student. I like the shelves to keep all my supplies organized. The blu color is a little more on the gray size but nonetheless it works and it’s better than some of the others!

I bought this box for safe and easy makeup storage that would travel well. I use this box when I travel for long periods of time or on a day-to-day basis (this is very handy if you work with makeup in theater).The box itself is exactly as described, but it is NOT auto-open. However, the movement is smooth; the shelves and supporting bits are quality and strong. The lid, handle, and closing latch are all sturdy and durable. I can fit a variety of small items in the compartments.There are a few structural issues with this box, however. Firstly, the top tray can only hold relatively flat items or else the lid won't close, which I find annoying. The point of storage is to maximize space, which I felt was difficult with this top tray. Secondly, the bottom area is actually much bigger in person than the picture suggests. It's about 5 inches deep. Taking up the bulk of the space, it has no room for compartmentalizing, which wouldn't be too bad of an issue if the whole bottom were accessible at once. However, the middle shelf hangs over the bottom container slightly which traps items under it, and that is a bit bothersome. For me, all my items in the bottoms jumble around and get messy really quick. There's no good way to add more compartments, however.Overall, you get what you pay for. The box is great quality even if it does have structural issues. For those of you looking to use this for sewing, I think this would be perfect. For those of you like me, this box is okay for makeup. However, it's not ideal for permanent storage.

I wanted something I could make a nice 1st Aid box . Nice dividers .Trays are sturdy and holds a lot. Good amount of storage under trays. Clasp to close works very good. Perfect to keep handy for home or to take camping.

I disliked the color. It's sturdy enough and a good value purchase.

I bought this to organize my cake decorating stuff. I also do a lot of other crafts and enjoy going fishing and could easily use another for those things too.Highly recommended for anyone needing to store small things.

Son loves it he puts all his toys in it. Not so much durable but works for what he wanted it for

This is a nice, sturdy craft storage box. It has a roomy storage area in the base and two cantilever trays for storing smaller items. It is a good quality product, especially for the price.However, contrary to the item title and description, the cantilever trays DO NOT auto open. I hope that Amazon will correct the item title and description. As the item does not match the description, I could not give it 5 stars. I was disappointed, but plan to keep the item as the lack of that feature was not a deal breaker for me.BE AWARE! The cantilever trays are NOT auto open!

Box is as represented, but did not come with pieces to adjust compartment sizes. Seems like they should have been included. But, it works well for my needs. Didn't rate durability because that takes time to determine.

Bought this to organize a medical kit for our house and suits our needs. Comes with little tabs to make your own compartments (cutting rectangles in half to make smaller compartments) although *I wish the vertical pieces were removable so that the rectangles could be made wider into squares* so I could fit some of the more wider pill cases or bandages in. Again, I understand this was designed for artists and crafts but it still suits my needs, I just fit some of the bigger items in the bottom compartment which is open.Four stars because the trays seem a little flimsy when extending and retracting.

I love the compartments and I am able to save a lot in these. The tray bit is not as sturdy as I would like but so far it has stayed in place.

Does the job and holds the majority of my travelling art kit. Hinges are plastic and a little wobbly. With care it should last a long time.

Works well for my purposes. It is a tackle box, but I used it for my electrical connectors and electrical tools. Works great for my purpose.
