RM-I09U Remote Control Replaced for Humax Freeview HD Digital TV Recorder HDR-2000T

I was initially surprised at the size of the remote control. While it looks identical in shape and layout to the original it is considerably more compact. I quickly came to see this as a positive not a negative and so far am extremely happy with it. I have got through two Humax and another rather different third party version so I'm not necessarily expecting longevity but the price and compact nature so far put it above all the others which were all identical in providing the expected functionality at the outset.

With the last one I bought in 2020 I was surprised when I opened the packet. Its a perfect replica of the original remote but tiny (about half) in size. Nevertheless, all functions work perfectly and the price was good. I guess there are advantages in a small size like easier one handed operation so I'm happy with the purchase. Hope it lasts. Its still working OK.Needed another for a second Humax so thought I'd buy the same again. When it arrived it was a full sized model. I don't mind the size increase as long as it works.Had a spot of bother setting 'the universal bit' up with my TV. Did it a few times and it didn't work until I realised that some of the rubber number buttons tend to get stuck down in the hole in the case they are coming out of if you don't press them exactly vertically. Once realised I got it working first time.Its a no brainer cost wise compared to the Humax own model.Unusually, I was impressed with the very readable A4 sized instructions on four sides of paper.

The smaller than expected size might be important if your eyesight is less than good. Also it's less convenient to use and my fingers are neither big nor fat. Otherwise it's OK. All the buttons work unlike the original which was becoming increasingly temperamental. Reading other reviews, I'm concerned about its reliability but time will tell.

As others have said it is like a miniature version of the Humax remote and can do everything the original does, small buttons at first but you soon get used to that and it helps that the buttons are all in the same place as the Humax one. How long it lasts who knows? but if it lasts as long as my old Humax remote i'll be happy enough.

Be warned this stopped working properly after only a few months use. It can no longer distinguish between TV and PVR an in addition instead of just sending a single signal it sends 3 or 4 so that you cannot use it to choose a channel higher than 9 as by the time you can send the second digit it has already switched to the first digit input. Suggest you pay more for something more reliable or make sure you can get it from a UK supplier who you can go to when it stops working within the year.

Add batteries and away you go. It is smaller than the original but not too small - prefer it. Humax hdr 2000t works perfect. Bargain price for a replacement remote.

It’s good but it’s smaller than I thought. The buttons sometimes get stuck. But it’s easy to set up and use.

Bought this as a replacement for my Mum. Very easy to use and connected to her box first time. Very pleased with this item
