Hearts Aflame

First, I've read 2 other books written by Ronica Black. Wild Abandon and Deeper. This book was just as well written, maybe better, and had a different setting than the previous books I have read.Ronica Black's book Hearts Aflame is a wonderful, heartwarming Romance. Now a city girl, Krista Wyler is back at the ranch where she spent all of her summers until a traumatic event 15 years ago changed that. Rae Jarrett, the local vet who works with the large animals on the ranches, has her own reasons for not wanting to be involved with anyone. Of course - when the 2 of them meet sparks fly! They don't appear to want the same things, What's important to Rae doesn't seem important to a city-girl like Krista. Krista doesn't think that she needs any help and resents the help offered by Rae. Rae is sure that Krista hates her and doesn't understand why.The ranch is in danger of financial ruin so Krista decides to turn the place into a dude ranch. Of course, that brings a whole lot of interesting characters into the mix, doesn't it?This was a great book to curl up with. It's certainly seems like a great series could come from this too. Imagine the stories that could traspire with all of the characters that come to a dude ranch?Go buy this book. Enjoy it. I did.

Ronica Black brings so much life to these ladies. Everything about Rae is charming, from the way she rides her horse to the way she genuinely cares about Krista's aunt. There are so many underlying things about Rae that Krista finds fascinating, that she can't help but be attracted to Rae. A very nice read!

I've enjoyed the books written by Ronica. I was very happy with the story.I look forward to reading other books by Ronica.

easy reading

This is the 3rd book by Black that I have read and as with the others I was not disappointed. The story and character development was great and helped to draw you into the story. As I have found with Black's other books, she is great at her descriptions and details of the surroundings and key events in the book. This is a must read.

Hearts Aflame  by Ronica Black stirs many emotions as the main characters, Krista and Rae each deal with their individual demons. It isn't easy for either woman to keep those demons at bay, while wanting to pursue the mutual attraction they feel for each other. Black creates stories that are filled with complex and colorful characters, and thought provoking content, as with Krista's first person self evaluation. I have enjoyed every book I've read by Ronica Black, and Hearts Aflame is no exception. Reading Hearts Aflame is an entertaining escape into a world that is limited only by your imagination...driving down a gravel road, listening to the crunch beneath the tires, walking into a home that takes you back to your childhood, the onslaught of memories brought on by competing smells of animals, hay, a typical country ranch. These and many more drew me into the book, that was engaging and addictive. I found myself wishing that the book would have continued on with the next group of wranglers, and developed more with Krista's relationship with her Uncle and with Rae. Just a really great read.

I loved this book. Krista is the reluctant owner of a ranch and Rae is a reluctant vet. The two are immediately drawn to each other but both have a past to overcome. Both ladies were very well described and I loved them both. Can love draw a person out of the darkest past? You have to read the book to find out for sure. Having said that---you may need a tissue or two during the reading of this one but if you need a "hea" then this one is the one to read. I will definitely read more by this author. She is great!

The attraction is palpable and when the two women come together it is intense.The most interesting part for me was learning the large cast of characters that enter the picture as the solution to the financial problems experienced by the ranch.Very entertaining read that is a page turner. A great book from start to finish, can't wait for perhaps a sequel, by any chance?' Wonderful bright and happy.

Loved it! Refreshing and held my interest. And the sex scenes...well haha I could actually picture them happening because they were realistically written. Will be giving more of your books a go.
