Overall I am disappointed with the performance of the A5
I am a software developer and former system administrator.Overall I am disappointed with the performance of the A5.Setup / Software:Basically, press and hold the pin hole button on back of camera. It will start beeping. Find an android phone and go to http://www.yoosee.co/ and download their app. Make an account (I used fake email), log in. Add the camera with the +, input your wifi pwd (you must be connected). Make sure phone is near camera. Camera will make a noise then stop beeping . At this point the camera now has the wifi settings so you do not need the app any longer and if wanted, you can use a free ONVIF camera viewer with these cameras. I personally use iSpy. Just add a ONVIF camera and scan your network, it will find it. I personally do not use any of the supplied programs (wont get into why) and BLOCK all the cameras from using the internet at the router using parental controls (also wont get into why...). Would also not recommend forwarding any ports to these cameras from the internet. Instead, you can add all the cameras using a program like iSpy on your local network, then access iSpy however you want.Performance: I have had three of them on the network for a few weeks 24/7. They constantly drop off the wifi and go offline for no reason. I also have noticed odd visual things with all the cameras. Sometimes people will warp around while walking or blur and time warp around randomly. Lot of time warping on all the cams. Will randomly go back to previous frames them forward ect. The picture is constantly moving at times , maybe half the day- due to the cam quality and not something in the environment. I have to unplug and plug all three back in roughly once every day or so, so that they re-connect to the wifi and auto-show up back in iSpy. Pretty annoying and honestly I rather buy a more expensive one to get real HD, a reliable non warpy/fuzzy picture and the ability to stay connected to Wifi.Am going to return the latest two I bought... not sure if I can return the first. Might be too late.Good luck.

As others have pointed out, setup is frustrating. Download the app from the Yoosee website. Hold down the reset switch on the back on of the camera not just until the camera makes a sound (usually a click or quick beep), but several seconds longer until it plays a very noticeable and much louder chime that sounds a little like the “cha ching” of a cash register. Whether you use the smart link or QR code, stand next to your Wi-Fi router and still be prepared for the setup to fail and repeat the process several times over about 30 minutes for it to finally succeed.I was unable to get the built-in motion recording to work reliably. It would work about an hour before freezing the camera. With the built-in recording features active the frames per second were cut in half, from 10 to 5. After deactivating the built-in capture and recording, the frame rates consistently held around 10 FPS.The third issue has been Wi-Fi range. After several experiments with camera placement it appears the video stream is only reliable when the camera is located within 15-20 feet of the router. Greater distances results in video and network glitches that render the camera useless.A few months after getting my first Jooan A5 camera working, I decided to take a chance on a second to capture video from a different window. The second camera suffered from the same issues as the first, plus it wouldn't run in HD 1280x720 and only SD 640x360. That was one compromise too many and the second camera has been returned.

Plug and play.
Might seem complicated at first, it would not work the instructions doesnt help. I spent 2 hrs trying to figured it out even called the friends who recommended this product. Apparently I got the updated version. They use a different app then what I was told to use. It comes in a sketchy plain white box. I was this close of giving up and sending it back until it just started working. Its really plug play that simple just they dont mention you have to press reset on the camera for 3 seconds. I had to youtube it. Then follow the process on the app (Danale). Just plug in, download, hit reset on the camera, connect to wifi on your phone and follow the steps on your phone. I was going to give it 2 stars maybe 3 but it is so crystal clear and u can hear, talk and record what your are seeing. Night vision is clear as well. its really perfect for the price. cant go wrong.

This camera is doing just great so far
This camera is doing just great so far! I had no issues at all setting up the app on my phone or getting the camera to connect through my modem/router that was provided by my service provider. Overall setup took less than ten minutes, that includes reading the instruction manual. The picture is awesome!!!!! Even in my dark, bedroom, without any windows, I am able to get a clear picture of what is going on in the room. There are many settings that you can adjust through the app. Setting it up on my laptop was a breeze as well. In all fairness, I have only had this item a day so far, so if any issues arise I will update this review. As for now, this is a great affordable solution to my needs.

I'm very upset
This product is great. However, I'm very upset that the software company that goes with this camera decided to migrate from recordings up to a year down to recording that only go back 5 days. And they still charge the same amount every month for the service. I have two of these and they are consistently being kicked offline. I've already had my Internet provider check all of my equipment and my wireless speed. It's the camera is not my Internet. I'm feeling they need to be replaced. Hopefully someone will contact me
