I'd read the book on pdf recently, total game changer for me, and because of how much I loved it I decided to have a hard copy of it. This print job is a mess, it looks like it was photocopied, typical photocopied dark pages, hard to read and hard to make any highlights. A total botched job.

Poor quality print and errant translation
The content of the book, by Paine, is fine. The translation to this particular print is abhorrent. In the first 13 pages there are countless mistakes, extra footnotes that have been added after the fact and even some HTML that somehow made it into the print.

Scathing review of the Bible and religon
This book is still relevant today mainly for its central idea of questioning the veracity of where the word of god comes from. The writing is a bit flowery in spots so approaching it with an open mind to think about some of the points Paine makes here is worth the time spent reading.

Read It!
With this pamphlet, Thomas Paine inspired the US and French Revolutions, based upon “We The People”. Everyone should read it to know what the founding father who influenced an entire generation through his brilliant writing, actually wrote. It may blow your mind.

It felt more like a rant than anything else
It felt more like a rant than anything else. There were lots of prescriptions thrown without discussion or room for exceptions: don't learn old languages, don't believe anything you don't see yourself, etc.Disclaimer: after the first 2 such "commandments" I stopped reading. I skimmed through but the rest looked the same thing.

Enjoyed it
I have never read any of Thomas Paine and enjoyed the book. While it is dated in speech, I had no problem understanding him (which is awesome). The layout was easy to read and not wacky as some other ebooks can be.

Small print
I like t. Paine's ideas; however, the small print of the paperback was a challenge. The kindle edition was much better.
