I suffer from anxiety and heart palpitations, and feel these have lessened since I started taking Dong Quai. I usually get some menstrual cramps that can be a bit crippling, and since taking these I haven't got had my period nor cramps. I'm not sure if my period is due as PMS symptoms seem to have eased off, which is good, but I'm on the contraceptive pill anyway so maybe that's finally kicking in too.I do have some joint pain that usually flares up whenever I go in the sun, but undergoing doctor's tests to see if that's an autoimmune disease thing. Since Dong Quai is expected to help with joint pain, I'm not aware whether it's working as I only recently started experiencing them on a more irritating level - though I am sure Dong Quai can't be attributed as the cause of this, since I have experienced similar symptoms for way before I started taking these supplements. Due to this I wouldn't like to think what the flare up of joint pain would be like without having started on these.One thing to note with Dong Quai is that it might make skin more sensitive when you are in the sun, leaving you more vulnerable to sunburn. I'd recommend making sure you use enough suncream to cover up if taking these, though as we have winter coming up it's not so much of an issue now. Dong quai is not as good for me as red clover as this works immediately on bone pain.I also tried vitex and is in between this 2 as eficient. I took dhea but noticed hair loos. Pregnenolone drops works on mental like depression and headache, I still take it,3 drops in the morning. When you have bad symptoms of postmenopause like I have is worth trying anything.
