I bought this traveling mini kettle to efficiently boil water for my Nanopresso coffee maker. After unpacking and rinsing out the interior, I loaded the chamber with fresh water, turned it on and obtained a rolling boil in a course of just a few minutes. That it's able to do this with a 300W heating element (less than 3A current draw) is impressive.The cup attaches magnetically to the main unit for travel and, while there could have been a slightly tighter fit there, it's certainly clean enough. That's actually a very minor flaw. Both the cup and the screw-on cap remain off while boiling, for safety's sake, and there is no automatic shutoff when boiling is reached. But there is, apparently, a safety feature built in, so that it will power down if there's a danger that it's about boil dry.You screw on the cap after the water is boiled and the 2-position valve allows the hot water to either pour controllably or to be sealed, so the water remains hot for extended periods and/or for traveling. About an hour after I made my Espresso, I used the remaining hot water for a cup of herb tea and it was still sufficiently hot enough for this. This is basically a double-wall stainless steel thermos, after all, with the addition of a heating element in the base. The included 120V AC cord is of good quality and the rubber cover on the unit that seals the electrical interface is a snug and sure fit when nothing is plugged in.The alternatives to units like this are either the 12V/24V DC ones, which are reported to take about half an hour to bring a small quantity of water to a boil, or small conventional kettles that typically boil more water per session, but also consume more power and don't travel nearly as well. I plan to eventually integrate this one into a 12V off-grid battery/solar PV system with the aid of an inverter. The low power consumption was what I was initially looking for, but it's got that feature covered and then some. Good stuff!

This thermos is amazing. Perfect for hotel use so that I don’t have to use the coffee maker to make my tea. It heats up quickly and is hot.The cup is magnetic and attaches to the thermos easily and and it is definitely leak proof. I love the cup because I don’t like drinking out of the Styrofoam cups that the hotel provides. Do not put the screw top on it while boiling - even loosely, or it will boil over. Do not hesitate to buy this, I love it!

I love this apparatus. Use it all the time to make tea, love the portable design. What's also great is that the cup is stainless steel unlike the plastic of many other thermoses. It makes 1.5 cups (of its own cup) tea, which can be stretched to 2 cups if you go over the max line a bit (but in my experience this works with some plugs more than others -have also spattered water this way). It says you boil without the screw cap but I leave it on, lightly screwed open and the top down so steam can escape. I've had no problems with the kettle thermos. I recommend this to anyone looking for such a device!

I'm the office gadget queen and have undivided attention the moment I say...'you gotta check this new thing i got out...'Durable material, easy to operate and does what it says. When the office water cooler's hot water pissed out luke warm clearly unfit for tea.. This little gem is by far the most borrowed item in my work repartidor (sp).

It did what it is supposed to do..... heat up water! It brings to a small boil when heated. I bring this on work trips so I can make my Nespresso coffee using this electric kettle along with the Wacaco Nanopresso first thing AM without leaving hotel Room. Coffee machine in the hotel room just does not do it for me. It is good for making tea as well if you need hot water. Not sure if this is for everyday use but it’s a good option to get hot water for work trips and road trips.

The instruction says that you shouldn't use detergent and be careful with water on it, so it's hard to clean. But it's fast and practical.

This one is really amazing if you drink hot water daily. The boiling is fast and you can use the lid as a cup. Very convenient to use and wash is easy too. Good product!

I use this when I travel to make my morning almond Latte. It's Great! Heat up quickly. Easy to clean. Easy to carry!
