This product was bought for my 86 year old grandfather with Parkinson's who has hand tremors that are effecting his control when eating. He initially said that the cutlery was heavy when he opened the well present gift box but when he used it he said how normal the weight felt and his hand tremors were visibly reduced and his control improved. My grandfather would be honest too if it were rubbish!! Other products on the market remind me of toddler cutlery and we wanted a set that my grandfather wouldn't feel embarrassed to use. This set is a Classic silver wear design, are very well made and would do not look like adaptive cutlery when in use. Classy and effective giving my grandad more independence and dignity when eating. Very happy :)

Very helpful as I have Parkinson’s. I can eat much easier as they steady your hands. They are quite heavy but they need to be.

Have bought this item 3 times.One to have at home, another to take out to meals, the last for a present.Look expensive and give you dignity, can now eat peas, without them flying everywhere.the weight is good and eases tremors.

It does help but does not control the tremor completely.

I have no doubt these are quality items and useful for some people with essential tremor. However, in my particular case, the clattering on plates at meal time just became louder due to the weight. I suppose there’s a point at which the severity of shakes outstrips the benefit.

I brought so it wouldn't look out of place with normal knives and forks on the table, they are heavy so don't drop them on the plates,but are fantastic quality, and do recommend

Perfect for a stroke survivor that has difficulty holding items or has a tremor. Occupational Therapist approved when I took in for their opinion if it would benefit my husband after a 2nd stroke. These utensils definitely help my husband with meals. Makes meals easier for him to remain independent.

Ho acquistato questo articolo per un amico che ha forti tremori alle mani.Non davo per scontato che avrebbe funzionato, perchè magari non erano abbastanza "pesanti", magari non si sarebbe abituato ecc.Perciò glie l'ho dato dicendogli "beh, prova queste posate, con calma, e vedi se ti ci abitui e se ti sono di beneficio. Se no, tienile comunque e magari ci riprovi fra un pò di tempo ...".Circa un mese dopo mi ha telefonato dicendomi che ormai le usa SEMPRE.Ed essendo stato poi a cena da lui, ho visto che è vero e che hanno effettivamente migliorato il suo pasto, ammortizzando i tremori (che ovviamente restano, purtroppo, ma adesso gli consentono di portare cucchiaio e forchetta alla bocca senza assistenza, cosa che invece prima ogni tanto era necessaria quando il tremore era più forte).Le posate secondo me sono molto belle e curate e sembrano (alla mia mano che non ha tremori) pure ben bilanciate.Unico appunto all'articolo: sarebbe stato bello se nella confezione ci fosse stato anche un portaposate morbido, per poter portarle al ristorante o in qualsiasi posto fuori casa dove si voglia.Ho rimediato regalandogli anche dei portaposate per posate "normali", ma dato che queste per tremori sono molto più spesse ce ne sono voluti due (uno per forchetta e coltello, l'altro per il cucchiaio).Un portaposate "a misura" che venga dato assieme alle posate sarebbe la "ciliegina sulla torta".Il prezzo è molto ragionevole, ancor di più vista l'efficacia.E se poi non fossero state efficaci, pazienza, non è un investimento elevato.Consiglio di provarle, magari prima di cercare costosissime soluzioni con posate "elettroniche" stabilizzate, che immagino siano molto meglio con ogni tipo di tremore ma che costano 10 o 20 volte tanto.

El conjunto de cubiertos llega en una caja negra, en mi caso uno había salido disparado por el trasporte pero dentro de su caja, lo más complicado quizás es quitarlos, ya que tiene el típico agarre con cables metálicos sujetos en un cartón como base.Tienen una anchura diferente a los cubiertos normales y también pesa bastante más que unos normales. ¿Pueden ayudar a las personas con temblores en las manos?, no lo se dependerá, del nivel de los temblores y de la fuerza para coger los cubiertos.Aunque indican que son de acero inoxidable, en ningún cubierto grabado ni en ninguna instrucción (ya que viene sin ningún tipo de indicación del fabricante, ni información de ningún tipo en su interior) indica la proporción de acero y cromo que normalmente, todos los utensilios que tengo de acero inoxidable, lo indica, algo que no me termina de convencer y me ha extrañado, aunque habrá que darle el beneficio de la duda.Por ahora los he lavado un par de veces en el lavavajillas y siguen intactos, por lo que se aprecian de un acero, en principio, de buena calidad, con el tiempo es cuando se verá si es así o no.Otro aspecto a destacar también es que tienen muy buena terminación, no he encontrado la unión de las piezas y el pulido de las mismas es también excelente y muy uniforme con un diseño bonito y elegante.A excepción del punto de que no indica la proporción ni el tipo de acero inoxidable, son unos cubiertos bastante buenos en mi opinión.
