Very Happy With The Color Of This Red
Ok the initial smell of this dye is not so pleasant while mixing it. It's got a little bit of a fishy oder, & I was worried that's what I was going to smell like for day's after applying it to my hair. Thankfully that wasn't the case. Once it was mixed, within a few minutes after the fact the scent changed & was a sweeter type smell. I went by the title of the color, more than the picture of the red it was showing. I went from always being blonde, to stepping out of the box & going bright red about a year ago now. I've been trying different brands, to see which one may be my go to brand to achieve the tone & longevity of the bright red I desire. I was a little worried by the picture I was going to have orange'ish red hair, but that was not the case. It came out to be the perfect bright red I was going for. Though my hair was bleached under the last washed out red, then turned into a light washed out magenta, & had about 2in of my dark brown roots grown out. This color evenly colored my roots & ends to look almost the same shade of red, I was pleasantly surprised since it suggests it best to have bleached hair prior to coloring. Also my hair was super shiny after using the conditioner, I left on for 30min instead of 3min as they suggest. I would recommend wearing gloves while rinsing your hair, so you don't have red hands for 3 day's. Also for those who haven't done the bright red before, prepare to have dye on your pillow case when you wake up, the top of your lighter colored shirts will look pink, maybe streaks of color down your face if you sweat, & even though I use as cold of water as I can stand washing, & rinsing my hair, & use a color extending shampoo & conditioner, the color bleeds... the grout in my shower is always pink after I shower. Mind you this is what I have found to be the case with every brand of red I've tried, with the semi permanent the worst one of course I'll never do that again. On that note happy coloring, & just remember sometimes the outcome of what you want your hair to look like, is worth the extras that may come with it.

SO GOOD!!!
I’ve tried just about everything and this is one of the best red pigmented dyes I’ve used on my (now mostly grey) super thick wavy hair. I had a “signature” hair color for years that was beautiful but really high maintenance. When the company discontinued it I thought I’d never find another color that I’d love as much but this is…close. I’d say it’s a nice dupe for Manic Panic’s Vampire Red mixed with Electric Lava but permanent. I wash (because I can get away with it) every third day and am only having to touch up every four to six weeks, mostly just the roots. My hair is just past my shoulders and super thick and I’m using ONE box.Damage is minimal. I do use a good conditioner/leave in but the color and shine are really nice even after four years of use.Cons: This "box" is basically like using a pro mix: you'll need a plastic mixing bowl, better gloves, clips for long hair sectioning, and a cap. Protect your skin with Vaseline. Remove run off dye with soap and water or rubbing alcohol. Remember that red pigment is large so is always hard to hold fully - ANY rich red will bleed when damp, runoff and color shedding with shampoo every few days will seem like a lot but it's not! This red is intense and the pigment WILL stain so DO NOT use your best towels or wear fancy clothes you don't want stained red unless they're white and can be bleached. It bleaches right out of my white shirts and towels. It's henna based so your HAIR will be stained. I'm fully committed but for those who aren't - beware. This isn't coming out any time soon and will have to be professionally re-colored (unless you understand color theory).

Dye stains
I love the hair results but when I wash and dry it the dye comes out on my towel and on my pillowcases. Does anyone know if it will eventually stop or will it continue to bleed out???

Chemical Burns
This is the absolute worst thing that I have ever put on my body. After about 30 seconds of putting it in my hair, it started to give me a chemical burn.I immediately got into the shower to get it out of my hair and off of me. I had to take the gloves off to do so, and I have chemical burn blisters on my palms.I was literally screaming trying to get it out of my hair and off of my skin.If you've ever heard of "Nair", the razorless foam used to shave legs, it is basically that. Straight chemicals. I have skin peeling off of my neck and hands.I've used henna before, a lot of times, so, I was not expecting this. Claiming to be "henna extracts" and "natural" ingredients.I've dyed my hair countless times, all sorts of brands, all colors, for years, and I have NEVER had anything remotely like this happen.Maybe it won't burn you. Maybe you won't put it on your head and immediately scream while your skin blisters and peels. That's what happened for me, though.I will never buy hair dye off of the internet again.
