Q: What material are these plates?

Not sure what it is called, however I have dropped a plate several times, no scratches or chips 😃 so pleased with them. Lightweight too and they go in the dishwasher.

Q: Are they made in USA?

Yes, the package label showed made in USA when we received it. Delivery took a week or two. Good quality, the plates are very tough indeed, and clean well in the dishwasher.
