The watch is great, the band not so much.
I own several kinetic watches so I knew what to expect and this one works as well as any of the others. I also already have another one with this same movement, so again, no surprises. The watch, itself, has a very nice finish, seems to be very tough. I had another watch with a similar finish a few years ago and it never scratched or dulled. The band is pretty terrible, but I didn't expect much. I did think it would be leather, though, and while the inside is, the outside is plastic. I replaced it with a NATO strap immediately which looks good on this type of watch.

hard to read hands
the watch is nice, but very hard to read the hands, confusing GMT and hour hand , it does not bright as much in the dark , after 1 hour nothing you cant see the time in the dark

a great GMT dive / field watch that "cleans-up" nicely!
So far I love it! Substantial but not over the top. Keeps great time thus far. Auto function working. Gmt hand works as well! Thanks Seiko and Vanity Watches!

Poor luminous
A great GMT watch, I have bought Seiko Kinetic since the early 90's, but the luminous on this watch is useless, don't buy if you need this feature.I replaced the OE strap with a mesh one

Just broke one day.
Rotor simply stopped moving inside the case 15 months after purchase. Normal, daily wear. I could not be more disappointed, and am replacing both of my 5m85 watches with solar movements. If Seiko can offer some explanation, Ill try to remember to post it here, but given the gravity of the failure, i would advise avoiding all seiko 5m85 watches.

Very Nice Watch
Great watch, make sure you want one with this big of a case.Looks great, and the provider did a great job.Highly recommend.

Watch is better looking in person
Watch is better looking in person. I love Seiko kinetic watches. I have two now. Fits perfectly, very nice band and very comfortable.
