Just what I needed

Sometimes looking at the part before install is the key to removing the old part. And that is what happened with this unit. It went right into the old position without a problem and had us back up and running again in about 30mins.

Picked up my new (to me) Weekend Warrior 5th wheel from the dealership, all was well. I've always had a bumper pull so I don't know much about 5ers. Took it to storage to drop it off and it would no longer lift the landing gear to get the trailer off my truck, it only made a terrible grinding noise. Tried to manually lift it with the handle, no go. When i started investigating, I found the landing gear gearbox was split in two. Called the dealership, they said bring it on back we'll put a new (plastic) one in. Dealership was about 30 miles away. I hopped on trusty Amazon and found this beast for only $40. LESS than the original plastic piece of crap. Why in God's name didn't the mfr's use this in the first place! Mind boggling.Anyway, had to tow the trailer to a friends house and park it connected to the truck, too big for my neighborhood. I tried to fig a fix by using a bolt and nut to keep the gearbox in place and only made matters worse (see pic). I received this in 2 days and installed it yesterday. Took about an hour. I did have to sand down the shaft to get off the old one as there were some small burrs that it was hung up on. 2 bolts to remove the motor, and 2 other screws and it was off. I did need to use a hammer to remove the old one also. I was quoted at least $250 in labor+trip charge, plus the cost of the part for a mobile guy to come out and swap it. Glad I did it myself!Lots of Youtube videos showing how to do this yourself with very simple tools. Gearbox works like a champ and I imagine will last a lot longer than the plastic ones. Highly recommend!

My factory installed gear box was cracked...because it was plastic! I have NO idea why the manufacturers made a piece of equipment that is under so much torque out of plastic!I was happy to find this part made out of a sturdier material at a reasonable price. There were no installation instructions included but it was fairly self-explanatory.I was able to remove my old gear box and install the new one myself, and I am not especially mechanical. I was happy to save myself some the money I would have spent at the mechanic shop!

I took a chance that this would work on my 2005 Raptor Toy Hauler. The factory gear box was a Fulton. From what I read on some of the questions asked, that this unit will not replace a FULTON gear box. To me they looked the same and the ratio was the same, so I bought one. It fit perfectly and worked perfectly in fact it worked so well that when the new motor that I put on at the same time burned up after one use, I had to hand crank that beast up about a foot to get my truck under it when I went camping. I highly recommend getting this unit, it saved me for sure!!

Gear box was a perfect fit came as a open box unit and still worked. Some people said it was missing hardeware but my gear box was plug and play it honestly took me 5 minutes since I had cordless tools ready to go.

This replacement gearbox was an exact replacement for our trailer. It was easily installed without any modifications needed. Should work for many trips to come.

Part came quickly. Opened up box and its all greasy on the one side Going to install this weekend, so hopefully it works

This is same as original, except original had plastic case and this is aluminum. Easy to remove and install. Had to file rough spot off shaft coming out of leg to get old gearbox off. Took 30 to 45 minutes for entire job.

Replaced my broken plastic gear box Venture Mfg on a 2003 RV. Some slight design differences between the new and old, but it works. Definitely appreciate the metal housing construction over the older plastic one. Having the detailed pictures on Amazon product page really helped matching my old part to the newer Lippert Venture.
