Jar openers
Cheap and helpful for getting jars open. The conical shaped one seems to be the only useful one. One of the other reviewers said the way to use this product is to lay the jar on top of the circle or square and use the cone to open the lid. When I tried that, I felt like it was hard to get enough leverage and ended up just picking up the jar and opening it with the cone shaped one. It still requires some strength to use. For me personally, I am somewhat glad as my wife still needs me to open the jars and I haven't been replaced completely yet. For the women looking to replace their husbands with this tool, you may need to keep your gym membership along with it.

Why didn't I get some of these sooner?
After years of using dish towels or paper towels or asking someone else to open a jar that was either stuck or too slippery for me to open, I finally broke down and started to search for some jar openers. I had remembered seeing them at other people's houses, but had never used them. I came across these and was a little hesitant because of the whole "you get what you pay for" feeling I have sometimes. But I decided to give it a try anyway, placed an order and it shipped and arrived quickly. (Amazon Prime is such a godsend!) Tore into the easy to open packaging, (none of that hermetically sealed, bullet-proof, sharper than freshly broken glass plastic packaging) popped them into a drawer and promptly made a mental note that they were in there (i.e. forgot about them)...Then, a little while later, I came across a jar with a stubborn lid that I could not get off. Even the hot water trick did not help. I finally remembered that I had bought these openers and got one out...MAN, did it make opening the jar easy! They grip the lids nicely and they're comfortable to use. Now whenever I have the slightest problem opening up a bottle or jar, I immediately break those suckers out and the problem goes away. :) (Note: If you have a weak grip, you may want to invest in a mechanical jar opener instead.)They seem durable and I've had no problem with them so far, so I'm a happy customer. And besides, even if they wear out, they're only $5-6.

Kitchen, toolbox, photo kit. Many, many uses for these magic devices
Amazingly useful for many more things than I thought. They can open jars. They are terrific for making hose connections at RV parks where you need just a little more force to shut off that leak. They have many uses in photography. They are fabulous for tightening and loosening tripod, extension pole and light stand connections for photography. They are without peer for removing stuck or tight filters, particularly polarizers where you have to grip just the non-rotating part in order to get the filter off a lens. I keep at least part of a set in each utility box in the car, in a tool bag, in my irrigation tote, the hose carrier in the RV, in my electrical tote, my electric drill tote, in my camera bag, in my computer/photo backpack. Oh, and we have a set in the kitchen or our house and in our travel trailer for opening jars. Square one on the counter, jar on the square one, cupcake on on the lid and turn. Even those big jars of caramels from Costco yield to these. And you know you want to get in that jar.

Good value
Took one star off because the square piece is awfully thin and tore easily the first time I went to use it. Otherwise, I have found these grips to be very useful. Love the little cone shaped one for jars. It's made of much heavier material than the square one and makes opening jars so much easier. Also use it for tightening jars lids when canning. And the flimsy one...I'm still using it, even with a corner torn off. Well worth the price for the set.

A God Send
Getting old is a pain... especially in the hands. We're all familiar with the thin flat grippers that come in this package, and they're good... BUT... that round one... now that's a gem. It's a little thicker, so you don't have to squeeze as small/tight of a grip ( a blessing for my thumbs) and as long as the jar or bottle fits in it, it'll grab like a bulldog, and presto. When did I really appreciate it? When I thought I was going to have to throw out my new electric meat grinder... It screws metal to metal and the part is large and awkward. I struggled for a half hour and then I remembered this cup shaped one. (Besides aching thumbs, old age also comes with a slow memory.) I wasn't sure it was big enough around, but I tried it. I could practically fingertip twist it off. I've now bought an extra package for me and 4 for stocking stuffers for nieces/nephews.

nice product
I was very happy to find this item on line. While I only wanted the cone-shaped opener, the others are useful as well. Unfortunately, they are not as thick as the cone one thus more likely to tear or not work well. The cone-shaped one is very useful for opening a jar. I did have a problem with the item being shipped with one of the items missing (the cone one infact). However, they made the correction easily. Also, I did find the item cheaper at a store during the Christmas season.

They work!
My husband's grandmother gave me a similar flexible jar opener many, many years ago that worked beautifully. When it tore apart after a lot of use, I immediately purchased another one. However, I learned not all flexible jar openers are the same. The purchase that I made awhile back did not open much of anything, & I eventually tossed the jar opener. So when I saw this set available recently on Amazon, I thought the price was certainly reasonable so I might as well try them, though my expectations were not very high. I have been very happy with this purchase, though. I use this set fairly often, & the openers have not let me down. This might sound overly exuberant for a purchase that only cost a few dollars, but you know anything that makes work in the kitchen easier gets five stars from me!

Does what they are supposed to do, but flimsy
These are pretty much the exact same things that you used to get free from your bank in the '80s. The cone shaped one is very sturdy, but the other two are quite thin and cheap feeling. They all do the job, because you just need a piece of rubber between your hand and the jar, but I wish they were more durable. They seem like they will tear fairly easily and likely won't hold up to years of use, except the cone shaped one.

Jam jar jamming no more!!
Brilliant for opening jam jars and bottle drinks too.Needed one of these for so long, don't know how I managed without these!!If you have or know someone with any condition that stops them opening jam jars etc.. the this is for them. Get the set and especially the "cone" shaped one. Amazing to have and to use them, very easy!!

Absolutely Fantastic
These rubber jar/bottle openers are absolutely fantastic. Such a simple idea but they work brilliantly. I originally bought the set for my elderly parents but have since bought another set for myself. For anyone with weak hands these are a must-have. A good tip is to put one of the flat rubber openers underneath a jar when you open it as it stops the jar slipping on the worktop.

Flat ones more useful
I have found the two flat ones very good, one can be used to place your jar on and hold steady on your work surface while the other can be used to grip the lid. These work very well. However, I haven't found the cone shaped one as good, I can't seem to get as good a grip on a bottle lid with it as I do with the flat ones. If I need more in the future then I would only go for flat ones.

Does the job
Fed up using empty hot water bottle so got this set. A little thinner than others I've used but works OK.

Hurrah! a cup opener
This is a replacement for my existing one, which after years of use got a bit tatty. You seem to be the only ones who still do the cups. I find them easier than the squares because they fit around the jar or bottle opening, and I can concentrate on the job. As for the squares in the set - good stocking fillers
