Great product!
It arrived on time and when I took it out of the package I knew it was quality. It only comes with one sanding pad so you will have to purchase some extra pads which Amazon will recommend for you. Also it comes with a bag that you apply to the back of the sander that will catch the dust which is amazing. I love it I am going to have such an easy time standing down my table. FYI are also purchased the stain and the top coat for my table from Amazon as well so you can get everything you need right here but definitely start with this sander because it will save you time and money. Fitbits right in your hand, it's definitely durable and the fit is great because it's small enough to store almost anywhere. Great design idea.

Great
Works great. Seems to be well made. Did a good job sanding with minimal vibration.

Not a bad value, okay for small, fast jobs
Don't attack any large projects with this, but it's good for crafts and small jobs. Very simple, one speed; the velcro attaching is easy. It comes with one piece of 80-grit sandpaper, which is quite coarse; you'll probably need to buy an assortment. Still, a good value for the money.

One of the best deals out there in power tools!
Like others who have commented, I have several sanders of different types. My brother 'borrowed' my 1/4 sheet sander last year and I decided to move to a 1/3 sheet tool for a new workbench project. I own mostly DeWalt and Kobalt power tools and prices for a 1/3 sheet sander were 2-3x what this sander cost. But I was hesitant to buy a cheap Chinese product - it turns out that Wen power tools are made in Illinois and have been for over 70 years. I just hadn't heard of them before Amazon. My old palm sander doesn't have ejection holes for dust, so I didn't think about that feature. I used porous, anti-clog sandpaper to remove a bad paint finish from a nice piece of ply. The whole process took less than five minutes, but what surprised me was the dust collection. Those holes moved the paint dust right into the collector and filled it lickedy-split! I didn't even need a mask, it was so efficient! Three days later, new paint finish rolled on like butta. And the sandpaper is reusable, so I couldn't be happier about the cost-effectiveness of this sander. The handle is comfortable and the motor is strong enough for paint removal, so I'm good. If this tool only lasts a year, I will still have gotten more than my money's worth. Go Wen!

Narrow Sander Gets The Job Done
I originally purchased the Wen sander to sand the varnish on my front door. I cut a piece of 320 grit sandpaper and carefully fitted it to the sanding plate. This little 1/3 sheet sander works very well on the outside edges of my decorator front door. Of course, some areas of that door are too narrow even for this sander and therefore required hand sanding. But it fit on the outer edges better than my old ear piercing 1/4 sheet B&D sander that was short but wider. So on a door like mine, a narrow Sander has its advantages. It has a bag to trap the dust but when using 320 grit on spar varnish, the dust is so fine that some of it penetrates the bag. This is a good little sander. I recommend it.

A definite buy!
I wanted a third sheet sander to cover a bit more surface area for the table I'm working on so I started doing some research. I already own high end sanders so when I saw this WEN brand sander I honestly didn't think much of it considering the price and the fact that I was unfamiliar with the brand. I purchased it and thought that if it died or performed poorly that I wasn't out much money and I would buy another Dewalt, etc. I have run this sander for nearly 20 straight 60 grit sheets of clip on paper and have worked it nearly 4 straight hours now and it isn't even phased!!! This is by far one of the best sanders I have ever used and believe me I have a bunch of them! The hook and loop feature is nice but I mainly use 3m 3x third sheet sand paper and it performs flawlessly! Well built, nice looking, quality parts and most importantly, it sands like my 200 dollar sanders! You can also go on industrialabrasives.com and buy third sheet hook and loop paper in bulk and really inexpensively! Not only do I recommend this sander, I'm buying a second one to give as a gift to a friend! This sander is underpriced and is really going to put a hurting on high dollar sanders that don't seem to perform all that better!

Worked great until it didn't - twice
I bought this sander to sand some drywall. I used the drywall sanding screen and attached the dust catcher to a bucket head vac. It worked great for about one wall, with no dust getting out as I had connected the discharge of the vac to a hose running outside so I didn't need to worry about clogging filter, as I had removed it. The motor started to slow and eventually would not orbit any more. I bought a second one, as well as a Mikita sander as a backup. The second wen didn't do much better and I had to finish with the Mikita. Both of the wens failed the same way. Now, I really liked the way it worked (and it even collected the dust better than the backup), and maybe it was not designed for my purpose, but I was expecting to at least finish the small bathroom before it cratered. It may be great for sanding wood with sandpaper, but I feel it should have performed on drywall. The clips to hold the paper worked really well.I gave it 3 star as, for the price, it seemed to be built well. I just don't think it liked the drywall dust using the sanding screen, although I don't know why. If I was going to sand some wood, I would give this a try, but I'm not going to buy a third one....BTW, The sanding screens worked great and didn't clog at all with the vac attached. You couldn't tell I was sanding in the room as the vac picked up all the dust and sent it outside. I had bought a hand sander with a hose to attach to a shop vac on amazon. The hose fit perfectly to the wen sander. I used the bucket head hose for the discharge and connected a bigger hose after that to make the discharge dump outside.
