Highly Efficient and Affordable. Great for Large Surface Sanding
I recently purchased the WEN 6321 3” x 21” Belt Sander and have been very impressed with how simple and effective it is. Right out of the box, it’s easy to use and requires very little setup, which makes it ideal for both beginners and experienced users. What stood out most to me is how quickly it sands large areas. Whether I’m smoothing rough plywood, removing old finishes, or prepping wide boards, it handles the job efficiently and saves a lot of time compared to other sanders I’ve used. The build quality is solid for the price, and it feels comfortable to hold during longer sanding sessions. It doesn’t have a lot of extra features, but that’s part of what makes it great—there’s nothing unnecessary getting in the way. The dust collection isn’t perfect, and the included sanding belt wore out fairly quickly, but those are minor issues considering how affordable this tool is.For the price point, I honestly didn’t expect this level of performance. It’s a great value for anyone who needs a reliable belt sander for home projects, woodworking, or general surface prep. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a no-fuss tool that gets the job done.

So far, so good!
Why did you pick this product vs others?:Seems to work great. Fraction of the price of the name brands. So far, so good!

Very good for the price, worked very well
I bought this with some doubt about its performance. It proved worthy particularly given the price. I was sanding floors for installation of new vinyl plank flooring which is very sensitive to level. Was sanding OSB subfloor. This sander worked well with more than adequate power. Two minor issues. It gets a little heated with is normal since it creates a great deal of friction. That's how it works. Also the dust collection gets a little overwhelmed sometimes. Have to empty the bag frequently. Other than that it worked great. Again, a bargain considering the low cost. Tracking was adjustable and worked well to keep the belt on the track.

I like this sander
I used this today along with a friend who has a similar sander made by another manufacturer. The other brand is one that I really like and have lots of tools from them. I would say that this sander is better than the one he had. The belt is a little longer. It is light weight. We were both plugged into the same plug and did not blow the circuit breaker so it does not use a lot of power. The bag seems to work fine. One suggestion is that the connection for the bag is a rectangle. It would connect to a dust collector easier if it was round. Otherwise, this was a great purchase. I have several other tools from Wen and all have been good. I would recommend this.

Very good deal for casual use.
This is a very good deal for occasional use. It’s very light and very manageable even when used at an odd angle, much better in that regard than the old heavier one it’s replacing. It may not last the 50 years that my old one did but it doesn’t cost $400 either. I’m very satisfied.

Strong Reliable Motor but Poor Dust Collection
This is a fairly good belt sander for the $50 and under price range. This is not a $200 sander, so keep your expectations real. However, for the price, it is a pretty good tool.I used this sander to completely sand the rails and floor of my old 14x14 deck. I was able to remove much of the old sealant and take off all of the rough parts. If you do a project like this with old rough wood, do yourself a favor and buy some 36-grit sandpaper. Don't waste your time with 80-grit until you have finished with the 36 grit. If you use the proper grit sandpaper, this tool is powerful enough to get the job done. I ran the sander continuously except to empty the sawdust.+ Pros: Powerful motor (for under $50) that does not overheat. Seriously, I had absolutely no overheating problems, and I used this tool relentlessly.- Cons: The vent leading to the dust collecter quickly became clogged. I read the directions to find out how to clean it. The directions said just have it serviced by Wen. Really? Who is going to service a $40 tool? I proceeded to try to take it apart to clean the vent but then realized that there was no way to access the back side of the vent and clean it. That is a serious design flaw. Eventually, I figured out that the only way to clean the vent was to use some long tweezers and pull the junk through. This worked, but it was harder than it should have been. Second, although the dust collector does collect sawdust, the belt sander also throws some of the sawdust right in your face. This is very annoying. I ended up hitting the stay-on button and then turning the sander around and just sanding in reverse. Otherwise, this sander blows dust in your face even when the vent is not clogged and much worse when it is clogged. The bottom line is that I would return the sander if I paid more for it, but at this price range, I'm keeping it. The motor runs well, I just wish it didn't throw sawdust in your face, and I wish the vent wouldn't be so hard to clean. At this price range, I highly doubt that you will find a better sander. Just turn it around when you sand and use tweezers to clean the vent.

Great!
Used the h€ll out it daily for several months straight while building several sets of patio furniture and it worked great. Belt tracked fine. Plenty of power. Survived a couple of drops off the workbench too. If it puked tomorrow I'd buy another one.
