The media could not be loaded. I spent weeks researching portable washers. I watched review after review. I didn't want to end up with a cheap, substandard piece of crap. After everything, I finally settled on the Hamilton Beach 2 cu. Ft. Portable washer. I chose it because of its large washing capacity, and because it's made by RCA. I could have gotten an off brand washer the same size for like $100 less but I didn't want to put my faith in a random name brand I've never heard of.My washer arrived a day early, on Monday march 10th 2025. The delivery guy helped me get it inside of my apartment. The box it was shipped in was visibly damaged. I unboxed it and noticed a few dents in the body of the washer. Receiving a damaged unit was one of my concerns because of how complicated it would be to return a 100lb washer. I got the washer hooked up. Setup was easy. I did 4 loads of laundry in a row to test it. Everything went smoothly. The washer was fairly quiet. The clothes came out clean. This washer can handle fairly large loads of laundry. I was very surprised by that.I find the washer to be durable, and of good quality. The body of the washer is metal. The lid is real tempered glass. It comes with the hoses, and quick connect attachment. I bought an appliance dolly separately to move it easily. All in all, I think it was a great investment. Given I've only had it for a day and a half. I've done 5 or 6 loads so far. The only thing I've noticed that isnt ideal is, My sink drain can't keep up with the washer draining water. I have to keep an eye on it to prevent an overflow.I'd say if your on the fence about which washer to get, I would recommend this Hamilton Beach washer. They come in multiple sizes. I chose one of the bigger sizes(2 cu. Ft.) For just over $300 after tax. As I said earlier, I could have gotten an offbrand washer the same size for roughly $100 cheaper but I wanted quality, and RCA (who makes Hamilton Beach), is a brand I'm familiar with and have had positive experiences with in the past. If my opinion of this washer changes, or problems arise, I will update my review to reflect that.

I have been ordering from Amazon for years and with over hundreds and hundreds of order, I cant remember ever writing a review...until today. I have had this wonderful washer for almost a month and love, love, love it! Did I mention I love it? Well I do! I have been searching for a portable washer for a couple of months. I live in Hawaii so shipping is generally not offered on large products such as this. I also live in a studio condominium. Units here do not have washer hookups and it is further prohibited to change existing plumbing so our options are few to none. It has been far too many years of going up and down in the elevator to the laundromat and has become too expensive in my eyes to pay $10 to wash and dry a load. Most of the time, my clothes are still wet, which takes longer to dry and once dried, well, not freshly clean smelling. I work from home a lot and have a pet, so the convenience of doing laundry at home became very important to me. I did have one of those Panda small washers for under $100 and a spin dryer about the same several years ago. It broke down after a year. It was time consuming and if time is money, then maybe I lost out somewhere in the equation. I would not order such a product again. So recently I started my search and was reluctant to go down the path of trying another washer. After a month of comparing models and reading and re-reading reviews, I chose the RCA. (was only $209 at the time I purchased with free PRIME shipping). It arrived on time and no damage. It did have pictures of the washer on the outer box and description. The Fedex delivery guy was quite impressed with it and had a lot of questions for me. I had it unboxed, hooked up and was doing my first load in 30 minutes. It actually holds more than I thought it would. I can also do a full bed sheet set in one load (fitted and flat sheet and 4 pillow cases). I can usually do 2-3 loads for a weeks worth of laundry. It has been a long time since I have been so impressed with a product. I would easily give this washer 10 stars if I could. This unit spins clothes very dry. I use a non-scented detergent and I have not had clothes come out actually smelling so amazingly fresh since I was a kid and my grandmother was doing my laundry! Very quiet operation. If it broke down tomorrow, I would order it again! HAHAHA Folks, there are no further words for me to describe my satisfaction with this gem. Get it, you won't be disappointed.Additional:Anyone who has one, what is the black plastic large square piece in the box for?The instruction manual is not very detailed. For instance, there is a soap dispenser listed in the manual but I havent been able to find it. I just pour my laundry soap on top of the clothes as the water is added. Absolutely no issues with this process. I would give the manual a 2-star rating. But this should not take away for the excellent quality of the washer at all.Also, I was initially looking for a unit that I can add water to. Didnt want to bother with hooking up to sink. I am so glad I took a chance on this purchase! The set up is way too easy and once done, you load machine and turn it on, you can walk away. There is no babysitting with this machine!UPDATE: 2/21/17 I cant believe I have had this gem for almost a year and a half now. Still no problems. I use about 4 times a week. Incredibly, I think this is the best and favorite thing I have ever bought from Amazon. LOL I honestly didnt expect it to last a year. No leaks, or loud banging. Total confidence and if it broke down today, I would have another one ordered within minutes! Life saver!!! :)

I've been using this washer now for a couple of months and I am very happy with it. It is better quality than I expected and does a better job of washing than I expected. This was sold by Amazon and delivered by 2 strong fellows who were very nice and carried it all the way back to my cottage behind the house in front and up 5 steps onto my deck - above and beyond. It was packed well and in perfect condition when I unboxed it - no dents or any sort of damage. It is very attractive and feels high quality, and sits evenly on the floor of my bathroom perfectly stable. Even the hoses are better quality than I expected although I ordered one of the 90 degree connect hoses so I could get it closer to the wall. I use the bathroom sink for the hookup and just leave the machine in place.The instructions say it is for powdered detergent only but you don't need to worry about that - just pour liquid soap on the clothes under the spout inside the machine where the water enters and it will dissolve and mix just fine as the washer does it's thing.This machine replaces an old Haier model I used for over 10 years. I get nervous once an appliance gets that age and even though the Haier was still working I decided to get this RCA when Amazon had a one-day price drop. I put the old Haier as free stuff on Craigslist and it was gone in an hour. The RCA is a much better quality machine than that old Haier was even when it was new.In short, excellent machine for the money that looks really nice, has very good build quality and is extremely stable while in operation. It's also got a great Energy Star rating so very inexpensive to operate so I am pleased as punch. Even though it takes up space in the bathroom that is a minimal sacrifice to avoid having to go to the laundromat!
