Can you put a permanent water and drain connection on this?

I did. I bought an adapter with 3/4" female to 3/8" male hose adapter for the input hose which I then connected to the hot water under my sink. For the output, I used the same output hose as it used a weird threading. I cut it down and used an adapter with two hose clamps to attach it to a dishwasher drain pipe and route in into the plumbing of my sink like one would do for a normal dishwasher.

I am concerned about how this attaches to the water faucet. I have a funnel shaped ending on my faucet. Will this attach?

It comes with a new ending for your faucet, which would replace your existing funnel shaped one. As long as your faucet can be unscrewed, which most of them can, you will be okay.

It heats the water to sterilize dishes during wash/rinse. The dry cycle is not heated.

I have a dishwasher hookup (hot water, waste water, electrical outlet), but don't want a full-sized machine. Can I install this with that hookup?

The dishwasher comes with the attachment necessary. The quick adapter screws onto your kitchen sink faucet and the attachment clicks onto the adapter.
