Perfect rice and porridge cooker for 1 to 2 people
I've been using rice cookers for about five years but this one is the best I've used by far.I love porridge and with this unit because it's small the minimum portion size is perfect for one person. That is a problem with most larger units- there is usually a minimum portion size which would equate to 2 or three times what I need.Having the delay function so that you can put the milk and porridge oats in the night before is perfect for early morning starts. Saves so much time and hassle and then just one easy to wash up small pan.Tip- I've found that Although it says it takes an hour, with 1 cup of porridge and 2 cups of milk/water around 35 to 40 minutes is a great consistency- I usually add in a banana chopped up 10 minutes before the end which cooks the banana enough. Porridge is cooked to a time whereas the rice is cooked until the water is evaporated and the rice reaches a certain temperature. So you might want to experiment with your porridge to get it exactly how you want it.I've tried multiple different types of rice all of which have been cooked perfectly. My favourite so far has been Japanese sticky rice and brown long grain rice. With brown varieties of rice you need to do 2 cups of water to 1 cup of rice. White rice is one-to-one.This is such a useful, time-saving and most importantly provides consistently good results that I would struggle to recreate with the pan on the hob. Also because the unit is quite small it doesn't take up much space on the work surface.Definitely my favourite kitchen gadget now and not one that you will just use once like a lot of things that end up in the back of the cupboard.

Perfect 1-2 potion rice every time
This is perfect for one person, good for two people as well. A lot better and reliable than rice cookers that have a glass lid. Rice always comes out perfect and doesn’t burn or stick to the bottom. Keep warm option is very helpful, takes about 25-30 mins to cook the rice. Easy to clean.

Great little rice cooker
Enough for 2 average portions of rice, cooks it perfectly and so convenient that you can pop it on and leave it and it stays warm once cooked. It did leak a little from the steam vent at the top, so I had a wet bench but it was easy enough to wipe up.The bowl and spatula are very easy to clean up too. Pleased with my purchase

Cooks perfect rice and a doddle to use
Excellent was fed up cooking a kilo of rice and then throwing most of it out with this it might seem like a little rice ( which it actually is ..uncooked) but enough for one or two people .plus the unit is quite compact ...

Extremely Good
I really cannot give this rice/pooridge cooker less than the five stars as in line with my other Lake Land products it represents excellent value for money and does what they claim. The rice (including Brown) is always cooked very well and avoids the wet and soggy feel for something closer to resturant rice. The pooridge is also very well cooked and can be left over night with delay and that is no problem. So here are a couple of things that I have come across that are not game changers but worth bearing in mind. Firstly, if you go full milk pooridge you can expect some leaks through the vent, water pooridge or half and half milk and water will avoid this. Secondly, the rubber bung in the lid pulls of and you can pull out the metal steam diffuser to clean both the back and the front and this is vital to do. I cannot give this less than the 5 stars because for the money the build quality and function are above excellent.

Perfect for a couple or single person
This makes beautiful rice everytime & I have no waste. Living alone its not always easy buying kitchen equipment to use just for one person. This fits the bill. It times the cooking of the rice perfectly & I like the keep warm option. The rice pot is dishwasher friendly too.

Best Bleedin’ rice cooker in the manor!
I tell ya what, this rice and porridge cooker’s the dog’s danglies, mate! Got it in me kitchen, and it cooks up rice so perfect it’d make a sushi chef blush. None o’ that mushy nonsense, nah—each grain’s a proper geezer, standin’ up on its own like it’s ready for the Queen’s parade. And the porridge? Cor blimey, it’s like a warm cuddle in a bowl. Stick yer oats in, give it a wink, and Bob’s yer uncle—you’ve got porridge so creamy it’d make a cow jealous.Easy to use too, innit? Buttons are all proper simple, none o’ that faff that makes you wanna chuck it out the window. Cleanin’ it’s a doddle an’ all—one quick wipe, and she’s ready for the next round. For the price, it’s an absolute steal. Don’t muck about, nab one o’ these cookers pronto. Your taste buds’ll thank ya, and so will your nan when you serve her the best porridge she’s ever had!

greta ricecooker, not a fan of porridge settings
Perefctly good rice cooker, that does smaller quantities. However, it is a bit hot for porridge and there always is a slightly burned layer in the pot.
