Aveda Deep Natural Hair Dye, Dark Blonde

Love Aveda blonde colors. I purchased the 6N because 7N, which I normally buy, wasn’t available. My natural color (before starting to get some grey/white) is very close to 7N. This aveda brand covers the grey amazingly well and doesn’t cause any damage - I have very fine hair and have to touch up my roots every 4 weeks. I mixed half of the 6N with half a tube of aveda 8N I had on hand, with equal parts developer and colored my roots. A bit deeper than my normal 7N but still looks and feels great.

This Aveda hair dye is labeled 6N-Natural Dark Blonde, but in actuality it turned out dark brown. It ruined my overall hair color. Amazon now tells me it is not eligible for return; nor, apparently can I get a refund. I am not a happy customer.

sure, do it if you want midnight jet black hair and not light brown. thankfully i rinsed it our after 10 minutes. who knows what i would have ended up with if i left it on the full time.

not what was advertised

I had heard for years that Aveda hair color was non-toxic but you could only get it applied in salons, so I was glad to see it for sale during the pandemic. Yet though even their website lists many great ingredients and touts itself as 93% naturally derived, nowhere could I find a complete list. I sent an inquiry stating I was sensitive to chemicals asking for a complete list; there was no reply. So I took a chance and bought the dark brown. So disappointed to see a long list of chemicals, most of the same ones found in other products — even ones you can buy in health food stores — that have caused me severe eczema, and which are known carcinogens, were listed. I hate misleading advertising. I am returning the product.
