It worked at first but at the second treatment not so much! Fighting fleas constantly!!
8/7/2020 DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! I feel I have given this a fair trial! I have no choice but to change brands! The groomer found fleas on my dogs. I put more on them when we got home (it was just a couple days for them to have it anyway). I do not know why this has stopped working but I am fighting fleas constantly! Update - since it has gotten warmer out and my dogs are spending more time outside, I have found fleas on them and had to bath them in rock shampoo! One more chance and then I will change brands! Just as good as the name brand! I have used Frontline Plus for years! But as a breeder, the cost really adds up. I discovered Amazon’s band and compared it to Frontline + It has the exact same chemicals that are in the name brand! I tried it on 4 of my dogs with excellent results and no negative issues for any of the, which ranged in weight from 8 lb up to 20 lb. Very satisfied with my purchase and the results.

Good preventative
I had a flea outbreak and caught it early. I used capstar, a bath and a flea comb for my initial treatment, followed by this the next day and continued daily flea combing. We also washed all bedding every three days, and vacuumed twice a day for about a month. I’ve used this as a preventative when there has been no fleas in my home and it’s worked great to ensure that we don’t pick any up. This doesn’t work nearly as well as the prescription options, especially for pets who have an active outbreak but seems to be a useful preventative.

For the price
Works, whle it doesn't completely get rid of the problem. For the price it helps knock them down.

DO NOT BUY & KEEP YOUR DOG SAFE!
I'm so angry at Amazon and they've caused me to have to remove ticks and get medicinal meds because this product doesn't work at all! I've NEVER had a problem with the topical meds for ticks and fleas on all of my dogs throughout the years, this is the first time I literally had a problem. The first time I used it, I swore it dried to fast so the second time I put it on, I timed it and the product dried before a half hour was up – NO product like this dries that fast, I asked both Petco & Petsmart employees and they said "that sounds like a bad product" and when asking the vet, they told me just to go back to my old meds because they wouldn't trust that just on that fact alone. And during the last two months of use, my poor pup has suffered so much itches and I had to pick so many ticks off him while we walk - I can literally see them jump on him while walking and remove them instantly, but I never had that with the other brands. It also looks like there's hardly any product in each tube - it comes out like water and it dries within ten minutes! Just ridiculous - I don't like that I have to wait a whole day to pet my pup on the upper back area when I put the good topical meds, but at least I know it's working; Amazon basically is selling a dangerous product that doesn't work. Very upset because this is my baby, a family member - it's not like the wrong size t-shirt or something. And then buying some of the medicinal shampoos on here became a fiasco too and just made the whole experience even worse. I just highly recommend you don't buy this med if you love your pup because it will not protect them and no way is it waterproof, I just know that is a bogus claim after all of the other issues above. Very upset and hope this helps prevent other pups from getting sick.

great product - read the directions and do research.
this flea medication works! a few things to note that i’ve seen in the reviews and it doesn’t seem like people do too much research - not to be abrasive but don’t miss out on a good product because people don’t read. this product is easy to use, effective, and provides protection from all life stages of fleas when used continuously. 1. your dog is still itching after you apply the medication because they have flea bites. they will continue to itch for a few days or weeks until the bites are gone. you can use a oatmeal or anti itch shampoo to help. itching doesn’t necessarily mean continuing biting. 2. you need to get it on to their skin and follow the directions which includes continuing in a line down their back from collar to beginning of tail. 3. if you have an active infestation you should couple this product with a oral medication. it is safe to mix most oral and topical preventatives/treatments. you also need to wash their bedding and vacuum. you can treat these items with diatomaceous earth - put it on bedding or carpet and then vacuum it up. if you don’t feel like doing this just throw the stuff away. you also need to empty your vacuum canister in a bag and take it to the garbage for best results. you should also bathe your dog (ideally before applying this medication but if not, after it’s been a few days so not to wash the medication off), it is acceptable to do this with dawn dish soap which is especially effective for fleas. 4. fleas have a life cycle so if you are struggling with an infestation you probably need to repeat the above directions in #3 every week for about 6 weeks in order to kill the fleas. you should readminister an oral medication once a week as well that kills adult fleas. 5. yes dogs die from preventative flea medication. they also die from tapeworms that they get from fleas and fleas are miserable and pesky. it is a cost benefit analysis. dogs die from all sorts of flea medication, generic, oral, topical, or collars. dogs also die from annual vaccinations. it is a possibility that is listed in the information on this preventative - people simply don’t think it’ll be their dog. one of my dogs gets seizures from oral flea medication which is why we practice prevention from everyone else in the house and we have her on topical only. 6. this is a generic version of a brand name product. it is the same dosage and ingredients as frontline. the big makers of pet medications have spent billions of dollars in advertising and litigation to make generic pet medications difficult to find and utilize. this is worth a try and it’s a great value for the price. just remember before panicking at the reviews that we have a literacy crisis in the US.

Easy to Apply, Hard to Fully Recommend
I really liked how easy this flea and tick treatment was to apply. It only took a minute, and my dog barely noticed which was much simpler than wrestling with some of the pricey prescription options. As a budget-friendly alternative, it definitely has its appeal. That said, the effectiveness is pretty hit or miss. For the first week, it actually seemed to help. I noticed fewer fleas when brushing my dog, and I thought we were in the clear. But by week two, I started seeing a few fleas again, especially around his tail. Some customers say it wipes out their flea problem completely, while others say it doesn’t work at all but I guess I fall somewhere in between. The length of time it works also seems inconsistent. I read a few people say it lasts around three weeks. In my case, it was more like 10–12 days before I started noticing scratching again. Not terrible, but definitely shorter than I hoped. As for reactions, my dog didn’t have any major issues with any redness or swelling. But I did see a bit of extra scratching the day after application. Other reviews say their dogs were totally fine, but I also read a handful report their pups felt sick or kept itching, so it really seems to depend on the dog.

This product works!
I recently started using this as flea medicine for my dog, and I couldn’t be happier with the results! After struggling with pesky fleas for far too long, I was eager to find a solution that actually worked, and this product exceeded my expectations. First and foremost, the application process was incredibly easy. Whether you choose the topical solution or chewable tablet (depending on the product version), administering it to my dog was a breeze. She barely noticed the treatment, which is a huge relief for both of us! The directions were clear and straightforward, making it simple to ensure I was applying or giving the correct dosage. Within just a few days of using it, I noticed a significant reduction in fleas. My dog stopped scratching and biting at her fur as much, which was such a relief to see. It’s clear that this product is effective, as it not only eliminated the existing fleas but also provided ongoing protection against future infestations. I also appreciate that it is made with safe ingredients. As a pet owner, I’m always concerned about what I’m applying to my dog's skin or giving her to ingest. This product is vet-recommended and made with quality components that I trust for my furry friend. Additionally, the value for money is fantastic. Compared to other flea treatments I've tried, this delivers results without breaking the bank. With a few doses providing lasting protection, it’s a worthwhile investment in my dog’s health and comfort. Overall, I wholeheartedly recommend this flea stuff for anyone dealing with fleas in their pets. It’s effective, easy to use, and provides peace of mind knowing my dog is protected. We’re finally able to enjoy our time together without the worry of fleas!

Works great!
By far the best affordable flea and tick treatment I have found. I have a degree in Veterinary technology, but even I know that the price point for a lot of the over-the-counter Fleet and tick treatments is absolutely astounding and if I can find one that's cheaper that'll do the job just as well I am going to save my money for better use for my pups! The Amazon brand flea and tick treatment has been a staple in my home for the last year, one of my little guys is notorious for getting fleas every year, except the last year that I started using this he has been flee free so that is all the proof I need! I love that they don't use a bunch of additives and Bs ingredients that are not needed, they also made sure to create a formula that does not irritate your dog's skin after use, in the past I have tried treatments that would even make my dog's a little lethargic over the next few days, I have not seen this issue at all. Very easy to apply, Simply snip the top and apply to the back of your dog's neck, it doesn't drip down their skin at all and it dries in place fairly quickly. I cannot recommend this product enough, like I said it's been a staple in my home for the last year or so and it will remain that way from here on out!
