Green Toys Twist Teether Toy

When I first purchased this, my 3 month old baby took it in his hands and hurt himself with it by hitting himself hard in the face every time he tried to mouth it. I put it away thinking it was a waste of money. Now, since my baby was 5.5 months old, I let him play with this toy, and he loves it. PROS - Different shaped tags and the knots on the green 'handles' make it fun for the baby to bite - Light weight - Easy for the baby to grip - Baby likes the rattle noise (although I think it can be a bit too loud) - Dishwasher safe - Made from recycled products - Made in USA CONS - This toy has just one texture: hard. there are no other textures besides this. I personally wouldn't mind if there were more textures to this (soft, rubbery, etc.), but it seems to be fun to my baby anyhow. - The baby really likes to bang and hit this toy on everything around him. I'm always afriad he will hurt himself, but he has yet to do that.

I would give this more stars if I could. My Bugaboo is just turning six months now and this has been his favorite toy for the last two months. Before this toy he would start fussing in any store after a couple minutes. I'd be grocery shopping and after getting to the first aisle he'd start fussing and it would get louder with each fuss. For a mom that loves to shop and take my time and is a vegetarian and very picky about natural ingredients, it was very frustrating not having time to read the nutrition labels or pick which produce looked the freshest. It was grab and run. I bought this toy because it looked green and awesome but up until this toy my baby wasn't all that interested in playing with toys. He liked me to demonstrate how toys worked and watched me attentively but didn't want to play with them himself. Now I can shop as long as I want with my happy little Bugaboo! We take this toy everywhere we go, he holds it in his car seat and his stroller. It's easy for him to hold onto and he loves to suck on the bars, not the hanging charms. It's super lightweight and easy for him to shake and it makes pleasant clacking noises. This thing is a brilliant piece of innovation, it's such a cool modern design that's interesting to look at. It reminds me of the drawings of an atom. The bars are the perfect width for babies fingers to wrap around. It looks like it would be heavy but it weights nothing. And best of all it's completely safe for babies to love! I plan on buying almost everything made by Green Toys. It's one of the very few companies you feel proud purchasing from.

I bought the Green Toys Twist Teether Toy for my three month old baby whom I suspect is starting to teeth. I am very wary of any product my baby puts in his mouth because, to be honest, I don't really trust the Chinese-made toys and chemicals, such as lead, they use to treat them (plus the things we don't know about). Call me crazy, but I want to make sure the things my baby puts in his mouth are safe, or at least the safest available. I was very pleased to find the Green Toys brand. They claim their products are BPA-free, PVC-free, phthalate-free and contain no external coatings. They use 100% FDA-approved food safe plastic. Okay, so that all sounds impressive. For the price, I thought it might be pretty poor quality, but given such few products for babies are not made in China (this brand is made in USA), I was willing to give it a go. When it arrived, I was very pleasantly surprised. Apart from bring really easy to open the packaging (it's in simple but sturdy cardboard, no tape, no plastic to cut with scissors and hurt yourself opening); the teether is really sturdy! It's thick and durable. Seems almost unbreakable. Yet, it's lightweight and not burdensome for my baby to hold. It's got bright colours and my baby is really interested in it (much more than some of his other toys). I know as he gets older he'll be more interested in the different shape and various tactile attachments. It's also going to serve well as a teether and withstand a thrashing and a really good munch! I am really impressed with the quality and the style of the toy. I will definitely be buying more from this brand! Thank you!

We've had this for nearly three months now and it's been our son's favorite from the get go. He was 5 months old when we got it. It is similar to the Winkle (Manhattan Toy Company) in that it is very easy to grasp and lightweight. When I ordered it I was worried that the hard plastic would be an issue - painful if it hit him in the face or render it useless as a chew toy. That hasn't proven to be so for us. I'm actually buying a second one today to give as a gift. What we love: My son loves that it's LOUD Easy to grasp - My son has an upper limb difference and only one hand. This toy is easy to fling about with one hand and he can use the elbow on his other arm to grab it as well. It's also easy for him to use his feet to play with it. It's made in the US My son chews on every part of this toy The only con: My son is long and lean and he sometimes gets it around his arms or legs. At first this was frustrating for him, but now he's learned how to untangle himself. Because it taught him new problem solving skills I don't know that this is really a con in the long run.

My son loves this. It makes a lot of noise when he shakes it. It's easy for him to grip. I like that it's made in the USA. I love Green Toys products and this one is no exception.

I bought this as a teether for my 4 month old based on the description, but as it turns out it is very hard plastic so my son doesn't put it in his mouth as he does everything else that is softer. I am still giving it 4 stars because it is a good manipulative with rattle qualities, and my son really engages with the bright colored pieces. He is able to hold by the green "track" that holds all the pieces. When the pieces move against each other they make a gentle rattling noise he likes. My 3 year old enjoys moving the pieces around for the baby like "trains" in the track. It's nice to engage them together. If you are looking for a teether there are better products (huge sophie the giraffe fan for both my kids) but I would still recommend this as a good infant toy with a smaller footprint on the environment.

This toy is fantastic! I love that it is safe and made in the USA. The curvy handles are easy for baby to grasp and will encourage transferring objects from hand to hand. The rattles make a nice rattly sound. The shapes are cool with different textures and shapes. Great for teething and rattling. Reasonable price. Yes, the pieces are hard, nothing wrong with that. I just love that I can give this thing to my baby and have piece of mind that there is nothing toxic about it.

This was one of my kid's favorite toys. It seems so simple but he loved it.

Mein Sohn ist jetzt 5 Monate und er liebt den Twist Teether. Er kann ihn prima fassen und auch lange fest halten sowie in den Mund stecken. Außerdem rasselt es so schön. Was will man mehr als Baby? :)

Baby loves these to rattle more than bite. Lovely colours and easy to clean.

My baby loves this toy: it's fun to shake, it makes noise, it's good to chew on, it's easy to grab/hold on to, it's lightweight... I love it because it is safe (no strange chemical smell!). When he really gets going, he has hit himself in the face with it, but no harm done (it is lightweight with rounded pieces). Overall, this is a much safer toy compared to those made out of softer plastics (with potentially harmful chemicals). Highly recommend!
