MARKER HOLDER Chomas Creations Silhouette Cameo Machine Metal

This works perfectly. As many other reviewers said, the silhouette branded plastic holder does not hold up! I am sure this will work for years to come.Now some advice if you are deciding to order the pen or marker holder:I originally ordered the PEN holder from this company. The pen holder is very SMALL! The pen holder will fit very, very thin pens. Even pens with grips will not work or pens such as the Paper mate flair (paper mate flair is 3/8th inch diameter; it should have fit!). I returned the pen holder for the marker holder.I would honestly recommend you forgo the pen holder and get the marker one. The marker holder is not terribly much bigger but it accommodates most pens including sharpies. The marker holder, even though it claims to be for markers, does not fit Prisma markers or thicker writing tools.So for me the pen holder is for very skinny writing instruments and the marker holder is for all normal sized writing materials.Now some pens that are thinner sit funny in the marker holder, BUT even so it still writes perfectly. I have not had a pen not write well with the marker holder no matter its thickness.Buy the marker holder over the pen holder!

This is one of the best items I've ordered for my Silhouette Curio. It is a tough little item. I've been kind of rough on it trying out different pens sizes. So far, I love that it fits all of my Sharpie brand permanent markers. The fine-tipped pens work best, because they don't put down such heavy ink. This pen holder is great, because I don't have to buy the more expensive Silhouette pens. This has saved me a lot of money so far. I love the sketch feature on my Curio, so I use it a lot! This pen holder means that I can use any color permanent Sharpie to make greeting cards. You know those vintage cards that have the great outlined images? Those are what I use this holder for. Really, worth the money. I plan to buy the other one, the marker holder. I would highly recommend this product and the company that makes it. They used quality materials that are tougher than the plastic pen holders. Fantastic buy.

The media could not be loaded. I missed the part where someone else reviewed saying it’s not for the Cameo 4… BUT I definitely made it work because I really didn’t want to have to return it and look for something else. I used an exacto knife to cut a hole in order for the adapter fit. You could see how I tried to use it without it and obviously didn’t work, but once I made it fit, it works like a charm!!!

This thing is amazing! I do a lot of pen sketching with my silhouette machine for my daughter's school, but I don't want to be locked into using the Silhouette brand sketch pens because​ they're expensive and not always the best tool for the job. I originally had the plastic Silhouette brand pen holder, but it broke within a few uses. The Chomas product is solid metal and fits perfectly in the pen holder. I'm currently using it to hold a white Uniball Signo pen and it fits nicely with the adjustment knob.

This holder is not compatible with Cameo 4 but it's not mentioned in item description. It's most probably only for Cameo 1-3 and Portrait 1-2, the higher models have different tool carriage. And you can't use Cameo 4 adapters, none of them fits.

A friend gave my daughter her old silhouette machine (1st gen) and loved these marker holders. So, we picked them up too. They are super easy, and my 11 year old uses the machine and these marker holders independently. They took forever to come, but it was worth the wait.

I love this holder. I have been experimenting with having the Cameo address envelopes, write the sayings inside of cards, etc. and I was struggling with the pen leaving drag marks across my work. After some research and a YouTube video, I came across this product and the correct way to mount the holder with the proper distance of marker to paper. What a difference that made! I contacted Silhouette tech support people about this and the support person I was corresponding with had no clue. She thought it was in the software. I also love how sturdy this is. The plastic one that is sold for the Silhouette was so flimsy. At times when I tried to tighten it down, it would jump the threads when I put too much torque on it. I was never sure if I had it in correctly. Even though this was quite a bit more money, it was worth it. I would not hesitate to recommend this product.

I used this with my Cricut Explore Air 2 for my wedding invitations. My fiance was adamant about using dark envelopes and at the time, we didn't think about how we were going to address the envelopes. Cricut does NOT make white pens and I was set on using white ink for our invitations. THIS WAS A LIFE SAVER. After about 30 trial runs, I figured out how to get it not to make streaks across the paper when writing.***TAPE THE INCLUDED POPSICLE STICK ON TOP OF A USED GIFT CARD/OLD CREDIT CARD***Follow the rest of the instructions. While the pen is writing, if the letters seem a little off or squiggly, tighten the marker holder a little more.I hope this helps at least one person out there, because this took me so much time to figure out. <3
