Edited 3/20/2017- I edited from 2 stars to 5 because of the great customer service from this company. They reached out to me and asked if I would like a replacement free of charge. I really appreciate that!It worked great at first and that's way the 2 stars instead of one. But now the light comes on for maybe 15 seconds and then turns off. It will flash on a few times but that is about it. Really disappointed that this didn't last a lot longer. Will be looking at other companies.

This light worked well when first arrived. We used it twice on the first bunch of chicks while they were in the incubator. Two weeks later, we're preparing the next batch, and the light does not work. (That was yesterday, it was ordered on March 3-4 this year.) Today, my husband removed the tip and placed it on a small flashlight, and using it this way we are able to see inside this new batch of eggs.Personally, I still think it was a waste of money. I never contacted seller as it cost a few bucks and I'd rather avoid the headache (if any). Besides, we found a solution that satisfies our need.

Let me first say, this thing works well in the daytime. The light is VERY bright. That is a huge plus for me since I don't care for candling eggs after 9pm when it's dark. I bought this egg candler in 2017, and it's still going strong and easy to use. Only two negaives...1-the cord is too short & 2-it doesn't have a battery or USB cord. I was recently looking for a way to connect this to my power brick that fits in my pocket, but the cord isn't USB and I didn't have an appropriate adapter. My hubby toted my giant battery bank for me (Anker 535 Power Station) that I use for sheep shearing. Lol. All went well with the 60+ duck eggs that needed candling.So all-in-all, I do recommend this candler if you have a power source nearby, or can get another cord for it.

This candler far exceeded my expectations. I love it! I was using a mini maglite, but it was eating batteries like candy, and would become dim before the batteries were even used up. This candler is way brighter than the maglite, with fresh batteries. The cord means no more going dim after a few uses either. The cord is only 4 feet, but can easily be used with an extension cord. Well worth the money. Again, I LOVE it!!

The plug which goes into the light is too long and bare metal sticks out. The plug wobbles and the light flickers when it comes on at all. The power supply has weak voltage and causes the light to be dim.The cord is short to be practical, it is only 2 feet long, it needs to be at least 5.I found an old wall power connector block and hooked that one up and it provides a stable connection with a light intensity apparently double the light from the power supply the light came with. The length of the socket in the light is designed incorrectly shallow and although the old power supply plug still sticks out, it provides a stable connection.

Works very well. Although when it says charger in the title it doesnt really mean it has batteries. It needs to be plugged in to function. At least the one i got. It is not a big deal though since the incubator will always be near an outlet in my case.I bought mine to candle quail eggs, 3 days in you can see very clearly through the thick quail egg shell. I could even see a few little ones growing :)

It stopped working after only a few seconds of using it and it started giving off an awful chemical smell. If I could give it a zero rating I would! Absolute waste of money.

Product works very well satisfied with the light that comes through it it was definitely a good bulb. But the quality of the hand held portion of the light is very low. There is something that rattles in mine since it came out of the package. But again it does work well

Very easy to use sturdy

Very unimpressed. The egg holders dont fit because the flash light top isnt fully together. I suppose ill have to see if i can fix it as returning items is last on my long list of daily farm chores. I even purchased extention cords as i read the cord is quite short.

My phones flashlight almost works better.Its not bad for its money, but its not as bright as I expected it to be. Works fine though. I'll definitely continue to use it until it dies...but I will likely purchase a different more expensive one next time.

The product didn't meet the description which said it would work for dark eggs. The candler may work on white eggs but not on brown/dark eggs.
