Premium Charcoal Filters for PetSafe Drinkwell 360 Fountains, Pack of 10

Bought this multi pack because of the great price. They work just as good as the brand that came with the original Pet Mate. Just like the brand name cartridges, you have to shake it while running under cold water before you put it in the chamber because there is loose charcoal dust present. If you don't get it all, don't worry, the little bit left caught by the foam pads on the top and bottom of the cartridge.I have 2 cats and I wash my entire unit with soapy water and a bit of bleach once a week, and shake and rinse the charcoal filter too again under running water. If you do this, you can extend the life of the charcoal filter a bit. If the sides of the bowl gets slimy before a week, or if you start to notice bubbles along the edges of the water container, time to change it.Even with the use of these filters, brand name ones too.... clumping bacteria can built up inside of the little flow meter at the top, the tubes and the opening cracks of the black pump inside. I had to use a bottle brush and really scrub it (about every 3 months or so). I was shocked at the amount of pink slime that had built up in there and I did not even see it when doing my regular cleanings. I am sure this would have burned out the motor more quickly as this was almost completely slowing the flow through the pump.

These are generic Drinkwell filters, and if you are looking for an inexpensive alternative to PetSafe's own filters, this is it. I tried these, figuring there was a big chance they would be somehow defective or a lesser product because of the price. I've been using them for a few weeks, and they work perfectly. And I'm saving lots of money. My cats love their Drinkwell fountain!9/24/17 Now that I've used two boxes of these filters, I will say they work IDENTICAL to the original filters sold by Drinkwell for their fountains. And those original filters are VERY expensive.compared to these. I am using the same fountain I purchased a year ago, and no harm has come to it for using the less expensive "alternative" filters. I still change them weekly, but this box of ten costs me far less and lasts me 10-12 weeks (because sometimes, like everyone else, I do not remember to change the filter on time). :-) My kitties aren't complaining about their clean water, so all is well.

This is our 2nd PetSafe 360 pro Drinking Fountain. The first I bought in 2009. By Using the filters as recommended it has extended the life of this appliance for my critters. I have 2 Maine Coone Cross cats who love water, and encourages them to drink. Using the filters keeps the water clean and healthy.WORTH EVERY PENNY

I have four long- haired cats. In the past I have had an earlier version of the Drinkwell fountain with a single cat and was uncertain if the fountain and the filters would work adequately for that number of cats. I bought these filters hoping they would keep my fountain flowing and they have. I have had the fountain for a year now and find it works really well and encourages my cats to hydrate. The filters are strong and not nearly as expensive as others. I find the cleaning process to be easy although it does take a bit of time as I have very hard water and soak the fountain parts in dish soap/ white vinegar to get rid of deposits. Everything fits together well and I am happy with the ease of use.

Even though you are required to purchase this in order to effectively and properly utilize the pet fountain this is designated for it coincidentally fulfills the job well. My only qualm is that you have to let the filter soak and rinse it thoroughly before initial use or placement in the fountain unit. It is nice knowing that my dogs are drinking cleanly and healthily.

Last for about a month. It’s good that they sell them in bulk easy to use functions well

This is my second purchase of these filters. With 3 cats I have to change the filter in their water fountain every 2 weeks. These are good quality at a good price.
