Works Great!
This is a game-changer for marking with Rust Oleum marking paint. Sturdy, reliable, works exactly as it should. I used it for marking out the tent locations for our annual outdoor craft fair.

Backyard fun
My son wanted this for a Christmas gift. He has a big backyard and wanted to mark off field lines so his sons football team could practice their football drills in his yard. Easy to use and highly recommend

Heres the skinny on this wand.
The wand is a fine product in itself, if you buy Rust-oleum brand field marking paint, its a great value. The problem is that the description states that it works with most marking paints. I don't know if that's true, but it didn't work with the "Kwik Goal Athletic Field Paint" that is sold by another vender on Amazon. This particular wand pushes against the side of the tip. The "Kwik Goal" can tip requires upward pressure against the tip like a standard spray nozzle. Since I don't spray fields as a profession, I can't say which is a "standard" nozzle. Not one vendor on Amazon has a warning about possible mismatch. What I can tell you is its trial by error unless you contact the manufacturer. Its sad that something so basic isn't standardized across the industry.Update; After some investigating, I found that there is a difference between marker wand and striper wand. Although there is little distinguishing between the two, the marker uses cans that dispense paint similar to aerosol whipped cream cans (pressure on the side of the nozzle). The striper uses cans that operate on the plunger style spray tip. Ergo, the striper has a little spring loaded latch on the handle to lock the can into the holder so that when the tip is pressed by the actuator, it doesn't push the can upward. I updated my review to 4 stars because the item does what it is intended to do with the proper paint. It is built well for the price. Its not the vender fault about the lack of information. I went to the manufacturer websites and none of the ones I visited had information stressing the differences in the wands or the proper spray tip style that should be used.Hope this helps someone avoid the aggravation of returning a product.

Looks great but does not work or works very poorly…
Matched the Rust-Oleum applicator wand with Rust-Oleum Athletic Striping Paint but did not have success in getting the applicator wand to work. Ended up just leaning over to spray the Athletic Striping Paint on the turf by hand instead of being able to use the walk behind wand with a wheel. Product redesign or an upgraded version might be a suggestion…

Worked great
I did a 50’ by 20’ soccer field. The first time I did it I put the wheel on the ground. The lines were thin because it was so close, and I ended up using a few cans. After some practice I held the wheel up Off the ground and got thicker lines. Each time I repaint now I got it down to 1 can.

No paint on your hands
Of course you can use the inverted can spray paint with your hands but you will surly get paint on something besides the ground you are marking. This marking wand will save your back and keep paint off your hands. Great purchase.
