Where does the bed pad go?

The pad is placed on top of the mattress, under the fitted sheet. Position it under the shoulder blades for an earlier alert, or closer to the hips for a later alert.

How does a bed exit alarm help prevent falls and wandering?

When someone is lying on the pressure-sensing pad, the system is armed. When pressure is removed as they begin to get up, the alarm sounds so you can help them. Press the reset button on the front of the monitor to stop and reset the alarm.

Does this alarm require Wi-Fi or an app?

No. This simple corded monitor and sensor pad system does not require Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or an app. Just insert a battery, connect the cord, place the pad under the fitted sheet, and test the system.

Where do alerts go when the alarm goes off?

This system uses an in-room audible monitor. An optional wireless add-on kit is available separately if you want alerts sent to a portable caregiver pager in another area of the home.
