Space Mission 7 Piece Set

My son really wanted a space shuttle toy, but it had to have rocket boosters. This is the only one I could find that would make him happy. The suggested retail is a bit high, so I waited for it to go down in price.When he opened the gift he was so excited!!!! He loved it and played with the a lot. But it only took a few days before it started breaking. The rocket boosters broke first, then the satalite, then the doors to the spaceshuttle.In all fairness my son is 4, so maybe he was too young. I feel like if this is purchased for an older kid, it might be fine, but if it's purchased for a young kid and will get lots of playtime, expect it to break (fairly soon).Side note, even though many pieces have broken off, we still have it and my 2 year old now plays with it.

My 4-year old loves this toy. He is fascinated by anything space-related, and I figured it would be a good idea to mix in a few toys of vehicles that actually exist. He seems to get more a thrill out of seeing space shuttles on TV after playing with this, and is obsessed with the functionality of each part.The toy isn't terribly well made however. The doors look like they will break off eventually, and it has already lost a wheel. The booster rockets may also separate at some point.Still, I think this is worth considering. Even if it doesn't last forever, my son has already enjoyed it enough to justify the cost.

We originally saw this at our local children's museum where my son fell in love with it. When we decided to order it as a gift, we we're delighted to find it here for $10 less (shipping included). The shuttle is very durable, opens up to let you see the inside, and detaches from the rocket boosters. Comes with a stand so the shuttle looks like it's ready for lift off. the accompanying astronauts are size appropriate, as is the command center vehicle.

He has had it over a year now and STILL plays with it!!!! He really wanted a launchpad (the thingy that holds shuttle upright) which forced me to "build" one from foam cord board and he was happy with that but otherwise it's kool shuttle toy.

Small pieces that break off easily. If you have a kid that actually wants to PLAY with a toy - this is NOT the toy for them. Better suited to just look at but what kid wants to do that?

My 4 year old was very excited to receive this rocket, unfortunately the tail was not stuck to the shuttle very well and it busted off the first time he dropped it. We have glued it back on and it now functions very well. It also does come apart from the booster rockets rather easily so it has to be flown with two hands. But apart from these faults it is a very well utilised toy and much loved.

Very well made and detailed. More than what I was expecting. My son loves playing with it. Great imaginative toy.

I am quite disappointed by the connection between space shuttle and tank/boosters. It is really not holding when my son is playing with it, and i beleive that by trying to put back it will wear ( or even broke ) and it won't even be possible to keep them togheter on the launch pad.Good thing, quite realsitic is the folding landing gears, allowing to simulate/play the re-entry and landing.
