OCuSOFT Lid Scrub PLUS Platinum Foaming Eyelid Cleanser – 50 mL Foam Pump

I've been dealing with an eyelid condition that caused constant irritation. I was always scrubbing my lids trying to keep them clean, which only left the skin dry and flaky, and I would still wake up with sensitive, uncomfortable eyes. Now I start with a gentle face cleanse and apply this foam before bed. It's incredibly easy to use, doesn't need to be rinsed, and it immediately soothes my eyelids while leaving them feeling clean. It honestly feels like an extra layer of protection overnight. I've been using this for a week now and the difference has been noticeable. By morning my eyes feel calmer, more refreshed, and much easier to open comfortably. It's also very gentle and doesn't sting around the eyes, which was something I worried about before trying it. If you deal with lash, eyelid, or dry eye irritation, this has been a really helpful addition to my nightly routine and has made a big difference in how my eyes feel when I start the day.

I've been diagnosed with all the eyelid issues ever, and have been through years of puffy eyelids that get swollen shut, styes/chalazion unresponsive to medications and requiring surgical drainage etc. As December rolled around and the cold weather hit (always the trigger for my eyes), I woke up last week with eyelids nearly swollen shut. Sick of both internal and external prescriptions (oral antibiotics, eyedrops, eye ointment, etc) that only bring me moderate relief and take weeks to have even some relief, I did one more search of the internet and found this. I had used Ocusoft's products before with minor improvements, but read that this version is most useful for inflammation. Within a few hours of the first application there was noticeable reduction in the swelling, so I applied it again before bed. Typically upon waking my eyes are nearly swollen shut and take hours of hot compresses to reduce- while my eyes were still more swollen this morning than last night, they weren't nearly what they typically are, and within a few hours after the morning application the swelling had gone down 80%- even more than they were after the first day of using it. This is more improvement than I've seen with any other product I've tried, whether it's OTC or prescription, and so much less invasive than other options. My assumption is that with further use the swelling will continue to go down, but even if it doesn't, what I have today is far better (and faster) improvement than the cocktail of prescriptions and hot compresses. I saw complaints about the price- those people may not have been as desperate as the people who this product is designed for (moderate to severe). In my book, paying for this is still less expensive than the copay to my ophthalmologist, definitely less than the copays for 3-4 different prescriptions, and a thousand times less invasive or uncomfortable than the drainage that's necessary once the chalazion appear from the chronic inflammation. For those of you who are severe, this product is more than worth the price. I leave it on- there's no need to rinse it off. I just give my eyes a few moments to let the product dry before opening them and they're fine. I saw complaints that it stings once it hits the eye... as long as you keep your eyes closed for a few moments while it dries on the lid it shouldn't get in the eye and cause discomfort. You also don't need a full pump to get enough product to cover both eyelids/lashlines.

Initially I liked this product. I really want to do a good review because anyone with this problem needs to find what works. I put this foam in a small glass dish and used a q-tip to clean my lids. It works fine. I just got weary of the process. So I ordered the OCuSOFT lid scrub PLUS. In the light blue box. My condition is moderate to severe and the regular doesn’t work. But if your condition is mild the regular ocuscrub will be fine. I just prefer the scrubs for this. I tried a facial steam machine and that works but again....the process. When your lids need to be cleaned a minimum of twice a day you want it to be quick work. Also— bonus here. I found myself visiting a vegetarian family member and went a few weeks eating no meat and guess what? My condition improved. So consider that for what it’s worth. I also find these to be expensive for twice a day use so I cut them in half and use one half in the morning and other half at night. Wish they made the pad a little larger. Hope this helps even one person because this condition is deeply annoying at best.

I have used Ocusoft wipes for many years. I am using the Ocusoft Platinum Foam for the first time and like it so far.

I did not want to ding the manufacturer on a good product- but someone put a very sticky label on the bottle and it is impossible to get all the residue off. Every time I pick it up, I feel the stickiness and it seems so unsanitary. This is very easy to use because it is a foam and it does not run down my face like a similar non-foaming product does. I feel it stays where it should. There is no burning. I am using it for blepharitis and have had no incidents since I started using it. There's no way of knowing if it is preventing it or not, but I will continue to use it. I would recommend to either Amazon, the manufacturer or seller not to use those very sticky labels on health products, designed to be used for sanitary purposes. Otherwise great product!

I have severe blepheritis and constantly scratch my corneas due to my dry eyes. I have tried OCusoft's other lid cleansers but whatever they've put in this one has given me so much relief. My eyelashes have grown out and are much fuller now (had a small bald-spot due to the inflammation of my lids). Itchy eyes are virtually gone now, dryness severely reduced I use it twice a day, started using it from about the end of January and it's been weeks since I've scratched my cornea! (Happens when I'm sleeping and my eyes get so dry that when I wake up they're stuck together and scratches the surface of my eye when I wake up... extremely painful). I use this in conjunction with (sometimes) OCusoft's Hypochlor. I highly recommend this to anyone with eye inflammation, dry eyes, blepheritis etc. It has brought me much relief, my eyes feel so much better. Hope the next buyer gets the same relief and comfort I did. UPDATE 2020: I came back to let everyone know that since I've started using this I have NOT SCRATCHED my corneas since!!! It's been over 2 years! My usage now is to maybe once a week. Usage of eye drops is also significantly reduced as well....I used to go through bottles of theratears. Now I irregularly use them. I'd have to say that this product probably gave my eyes the time to properly heal. I used to have times when my Ophthalmologist would say "you have two corneal tears on one eye, one the other, nothing much I can I can do to help, this is just how your eyes are". It was so painful, I can't believe I used to live with it. Thank god for this. It has SAVED me. Highly recommended! And if you're curious in the last 2.5 years I've probably gone through maybe 2-3 bottles, so it does last an incredibly LONG time!

Doesn’t sting. Works better than other eyelid scrubs.
