Beer and buttercream
An absolutely adorable Tom com, that grabs you by the eyes as soon as you start reading. Blaire a wealthy girl, but without her family financial support wants to make a go of her cup cake and cocktail establishment, meets Rohan, a guy next door. Only difference is he to is renovating and reopening a bar, and the main attraction is axe throwing. This sport does not go down with expensive cocktail unicorn glasses. The story unfolds and is totally absorbing. The humour is delightful. The romantic encounters aspiring, and all the characters are so believable and well described. The story is well edited and flows smoothly to a delicious happy ever after. A phenomenal story by a fantastically imaginative author.

Great
I love a lot of Helena Hunting's books so this was a nice surprise when this popped up on my kindle the other day. This book of Helena's is based on cute cake shop owner Blaire, who has created an adorable shop that is a mix of boozy beverages and baked goods. Everything is going smoothly ready for her to open, that is until the sexy lumberjack Ronan opens a bar next door that includes axe throwing of all bar games. Furious, Blaire charges into the bar and unintentionally starts a war with her neighbour. Our two main characters are then involved in an all out prank war, which is absolutely hilarious. However, it is clear that the only reason they are so against each other is a whole bunch of sexual tension and unspoken feelings.I loved this book. It was entertaining, not just because of the war between the two characters but also because of the chaos that is Blaire's family. It is a very light and easy romance read that will leave you unable to put the book down! Would absolutely recommend!

Beautiful story!
Why have I not read this story until now??As always with a Helena story this story is not only beautifully written it has a huge amount of craziness and banter thrown in along the way.Blaire is setting up her own cupcake and cocktail shop and is determined to do it all by herself without her overbearing crazy family getting involved when it's all thrown into turmoil when the bar next door opens up playing loud music and causing general havoc.Spit fire Blaire head round to give em hell but when she sets her eyes on hot hunk Ronan she nearly loses her tongue! Cue weeks of pranks.. jokes.. and intense chemistry from them both leaving you begging for a HEA for them.Devoured this story so quickly as didn't want to put it down!Fab characters.. fab storyline.. fab everything!

Sweet as a cupcake
One thing I loved about this book is that it didn’t introduce a ridiculous conflict 80% in, have the couple split and be angry and then fix it in the last 2%.These characters are adults who support each other and sometimes that the most romantic thing a couple can be.I would 100% read a book about Lars 😂😂

delicious 5 cupcakes
Another brilliant read from Helena Hunting. She brought me a read that thoroughly entertained from beginning to end. She brought her trademark sass and humour which I love.I will advise you having cupcakes near by when reading this as it will make you hungry.Blaire may come from a rich family but she has worked hard perfecting her cupcakes so she can open her cupcake and cocktail business (Sounds amazing and could do with one here). I loved her, she is independent and sassy. When hot Ronan opens a sports bar and axe throwing place next door she is on instant alert and the two enter into some serious competitive hijinks, neither wants to give in until a bigger threat faces both their businesses and they realise they are better allies. With chemistry off the charts hot to the point I was surprised my kindle wasn't steaming, it was great fun watching their relationship play out.Well done Helena on another brilliant read

Another hilarious romcom from Helena!
Kiss My Cupcake is the latest hilarious enemies-to-lovers romantic comedy from Helena Hunting and I enjoyed it so much! Ronan and Blaire were so great together, balancing each other out perfectly, despite their rocky start.Blaire’s dream has been to have her own cocktail and cupcake store and step out of the shadow of her famous restaurateur family. Her dream is about to be achieved with the opening of Buttercream & Booze, but there’s a slight hitch in her plans with the opening of a pub next door, The Knight Cap, with beer, wings and axe throwing. The owner Ronan is the complete opposite to Blaire, he’s laid back and looks like a hot lumberjack, where as Blaire is more along the sophisticated 50s pin up looks. Their first meeting goes badly, with smashed glasses and insults traded, with Ronan trying to make up for it with pranks, something Blaire doesn’t appreciate. When their businesses open on the same day, and their planned evening events continually overlap, plus an online Best Bar competition producing even more rivalry, they decide to call a truce. But when they suddenly both have a common enemy, their truce turns to more, with them having to work together to keep both of their businesses afloat. Will their working relationship, and the attraction that’s been building between them, turn to more as they work closely? Or will the rivalry between them cast doubt on the true motives behind their relationship?Blaire was so desperate to prove to her family she could make it on her own, her drive was so impressive. I loved how love for cupcakes and cocktails and her commitment to being herself. She was a bit uptight, but Ronan was the perfect man to show her how to let loose, and in turn she helped him keep his dream of opening a brewery alive too. Ronan wanted to keep his family’s bar running, but make it work in the 21st century. He was such a family man; I loved his relationship with his grandfather, but he also a cheeky side which was so attractive. Blaire and Ronan worked so well as a team, complementing each other perfectly, and they were so hot as a couple too! There was minimal drama, no jealousy, just apprehension from both at letting someone in again, after they had both been previously hurt. Kiss My Cupcake is such a feel good romcom read, and I would highly recommend!

6-stars! I love Helena Hunting so much!
Another amazing book by Helena Hunting!Such an incredible storyline - so unique and fantastically written. So fun! I loved everything about it, except the fact I didn’t read it sooner. Why have I owned this so long and not read it until just now? No reason I waited except I had so many on my TBR and in my Audible and Kindle libraries (I own both copies)! Bad excuse. Everyone should read it immediately! They start out “enemies” (in quotes because it’s really only one-sided dislike), and things quickly turn around as they have to work together to try to win a contest, and survive against a chain restaurant that moves in across the street, and not go out of business. Such a great story with really funny family dynamics. Go read it now!

A true "happy-read"
Wow. So this was a ridiculously cute story. And it was amazing! The downside is of course its terrible influence on my diet. All the delicious baked goods described in this read gave me a serious sweet tooth. All I wanted to do while reading it was to eat cupcakes (and also, open up my own cupcake-shop).Kiss My Cupcake is the very best if you’re looking for a cute, feel-good, rom-com. There’s absolutely nothing to gripe about – which makes writing a review pretty darn difficult. I can absolutely gush when the occasion calls for it, but it’s also kind of boring to read overly gush-y reviews. Therefore I’ll simply say this once: Kiss My Cupcake is super awesome.I fell head over heels in love with this book. The story-setting, the whole vibe of the story was just so delightful. You know, it’s the kind of read where you just want to move into the book and stay there. Blaire was insta-likable. She’s driven and strong, but silly and quirky too. Ronan was also great, but since the first chapters are told from Blaire’s point of view, Ronan takes a bit more time to get to know and love. So the story is told through dual POV’s, but about two thirds are Blaire’s viewpoint. This is a funny read as well. There’s banter and wit and you can’t can’t laugh. Also, the euphemisms are pure gold. Now, I doubt I’ll ever actually say anything out loud about riding a metaphorical bologna pony, but you can bet I’ll be thinking it.It’s not easy to pinpoint exactly what made this story such a winner because there are so many things that I liked about it. The writing is top-notch (but that pretty much goes without saying) and I was sucked into the story from page one. Blaire’s and Ronan’s interactions are just so fun. And frustrating. And the sexual tension is through the roof. They had me really invested and I couldn’t but the book down. There was a part, maybe 75% into the book, where the story lost a bit of steam. That would be after Blaire and Ronan get it on and there doesn’t appear to be any more hurdles to overcome. So for a few chapters there weren’t really a direction to the story. But that changed quickly and I was all in once again. And really. Kiss My Cupcake is the kind of story where I just wanted to keep on reading. I wanted Blaire’s and Ronan’s happily ever after and I wanted to read about them having a bunch of cute babies and a dog. That’s the level of engaging this book was.So this book left me feeling all the warm fuzzies – while also providing me with completely inappropriate sayings about mounting metaphorical sausage equines. I highly recommend!

This book was the best blend of sexy and cute. It had me hooked from the start and I couldn’t put it down. Tip from one reader to another though... don’t read this book at the gym. I am now craving cupcakes and cocktails ;)
