I actually got this for use during gardening, it's great at cutting Roots out of the ground chopping saplings down some digging, and it's fun to use as long as you use it safely.

SO, I moved to a farm from the big city. The first thing I was sure I would need is a knife that in any other location would get me arrested or recruited by Ninjas. I bought this thing, and it it's sturdy and sharp. It has great weight to it, the carrying sheath is solid so you don’t feel like you are going to stab yourself when you try to put it up. I have used it to cut rope, even gone after some branches with it and it’s still sharp. I feel like red neck Conan out there when I pull this thing out, and the Nope Ropes that dwell on the property are vanishing quickly. I can’t wait until winter when I can put on a trench coat and go Boondocks Highlander out here on some serpents.

This thing is very sharp, especially the back saw teeth, be careful on a back swing. It is also sturdy, you can feel the quality in the weight. The only reason for the four instead of five star rating is the handle, I just wish it was a bit thicker. I have larger size hands, and the handle just feels a bit thin to me. I would like more handle to feel I have better control of this very sharp weapon. Be careful drawing it out of sheath, the blade is so sharp that the nylon loops are in danger of getting cut by the blade when you draw it from the sheath. By the way the sheath is good quality hard plastic.

Yeah works great for what it is don't have to worry about rust as bad as high carbon maybe not as strong but how strong does it need to be to chop branches and fairly soft zombie heads.it is tough enough for me and seems to hold an edge.

It came within a week of ordering it (super fast). The sheath is a nice plastic, so it will hold up over time unlike nylon sheaths. The Machete is Good quality and met expectations and surpassed them. The blade isn't AS sharp as I would like but after I sharpen it that won't be an issue at all. The little knife slides into the handle and clicks in for storage. The knife was sharp. So no need to be sharpening it more than the way it came. So all in all I give it a 9/10. Would have been a 10/10 if the Machete was super sharp. Worth every cent, nice balance in weight as well! Comfortable grip! Gonna buy the bigger 23" version as well.

Promises to last a long time under heavy use.Rust resistance seems to hold as does the edge.
