Nice little simmer pot for Kitchen Witch type
I wanted something other than my electric wax burner for that warm the house, invite the good vibes sort of energy. For a little simmer pot this does not disappoint. I like to mix herbs and spices, sometimes fruit like apples or oranges....it makes the house smell so nice!I will probably use it for the intended purpose at some point and cook or bake in it hahahahaha but right now it's just the perfect little simmer pot for making the house smell pretty. Making your own potpourri simmer pot blend, putting your feet up, and relaxing after a busy day......yup that's what I've purposed this for.....self care.I also personally like the handle. I can see where someone with a fireplace/campfire tripod would use it or want it when they're using it for cooking. For me I think it's a nice aesthetic.

Small but perfect
I bought this to make backed potatoes on a campfire. The size is perfect for two small potatoes or one big spud. Very happy with it. The casting sand used to make it is very coarse so its ruff but not a problem with what I extend to use it for. I'm very happy with it.

nice little pot
The wire bale is a bit thin- not very sturdy but easily replaceable. I threw a new one on there- works great.

Perfect size for small portions
Perfect for small portions. We used for beans and actually enough for 4 people.

Not Seasoned As Advertised
The description says this pot is seasoned, but it isn’t. After washing it, I tried to cook beans. When the water started to boil, the water immediately turned black and smelled like metal and chemicals. The beans were ruined. I thought I could salvage the beans, but I ended up throwing them out.I have since seasoned the pot and the lid. Today I cooked beans again, and they came out the way they should. The pot is worth the price, so, if you buy this pot, be sure to season it as follows:* Cover the pot and the lid inside and out with oil. I used extra virgin olive oil.* Heat your oven to 350 degrees and place the pot and lid upside down on the upper rack.* Place aluminum foil on the rack below to catch any oil that drips off the pot and lid.* Bake the pot and lid for one hour. After the pot cools, wash it in hot water and Dawn liquid. Use a clean dish cloth to dry the pot and lid completely.I recommend repeating this process twice more to insure that the pot and lid are completely seasoned.Once it’s seasoned, it’s safe to wash the pot in hot soapy water after using it. Be sure to dry it completely with a clean dishcloth every time after washing it. This way the pot won’t rust.

Good little pot for 2
Love cooking in cast iron. It is just the 2 of us and this is the perfect size for us. The only thing I would change is the handle. The wire does not feel safe to use when it is full of hot food so I use pot holders on each side.
