It's not the same, but it's not bad
I give this book a hesitant 5 stars. As someone else mentioned, there is a typo or two; however, it sticks to the ethos of good writing and the importance of grammar in one's writing. The original was more succinct, but so much has changed in the written English lexicon, that I do believe it's worth getting this book. Note, I also use and review the updated AP guidelines. This version of The Elements of Style is not always aligned with the AP guidelines, but it's a matter of style versus hardcore grammar.Yes, Stephen King references the importance of The Elements of Style, but his referent predates this updated version, and so he obviously could not have meant this version edited by Richard De A'Morelli; however, I still recommend it. Either version, you won't be harmed.Long story short, get it. If you can afford it, I think it's worth the money.

Excellent and accessible. All you need to know about English Grammar
What an excellent book. It’s all here. You don’t need any other book on grammar.

Essential reading for a writer’s toolbox
This is an edited version of the original work. A useful guide for self-editing or just for generally improving one’s English.

Not the classic Strunk and White version!
I bought this hoodwinked by the 'Classic Edition' tag. It's nothing of the sort. It's the original Strunk version without E.B. White's classic updating. The book only became a success after White's update, so he deserves his co-authorship status. This edition has been updated by an American editor who I've never heard of. It's also a poor quality print-job (printed by Amazon), that feels like a pamphlet, not a book, a vanity press publication. It's not exactly a bad book, he is supposed to be an editor and he probably is - and there is lots of useful information here. You can use it as a guide book to grammar. But it is not the book that it claims it is - it is disingenuous in that it quotes Stephen King saying you need to get this book (what King meant was the Strunk and White version). I bought it under a misapprehension, so I don't want you to do the same thing. Get the Strunk and White original version - which is what I did after buying this one.
