The Trinidad Scorpion Pepper is the hottest chile in the world, according to the Guinness Book of World Records. Dried Trinidad chili pepper pods with stems. Net Weight: 1/4 ounce (7.09 grams) Heat Level 10+/10. Rated as high as 1,463,700 Scoville Heat Units (SHU). Use sparingly and with caution. To Rehydrate Dried Chili Peppers: Place chiles in a bowl. Pour just enough boiling water over the pods to cover them. Cover the bowl with a lid or plastic wrap and allow to rest for approx. 10 minutes, or until chilis are soft and pliable. For a more intense, toasty flavor, use a spatula to press the dried pod in a hot skillet (no oil or liquid) until you see a little wisp of smoke rise, flip over the chili and repeat on other side. Then, proceed with directions above for rehydrating.

I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy
I'm giving 5 stars because they are exactly as advertised - however I don't think any human should consume them. I bought a pack hoping to sucker someone at the office into an eating challenge and then enjoy myself while they writhe in pain and sweat out of their eyeballs. Unfortunately no one was willing to prove their manhood so I foolishly stepped up to the plate....I ate a whole pepper (with seeds and all) and immediately regretted it. The heat came on fast, almost before I could swallow and it only got worse. Heat isn't an adequate word, more pain than heat, like the pain I would imagine comes from 600 bees stinging the inside of your mouth at the same time. It kept escalating and didn't give up. The involuntary, uncontrollable hiccups came on quickly. The laughs at the office slowly changed to looks of concern, someone went to the fridge and found an old yogurt in the door - this helped but it was not cure. I ate it around 2pm on a Friday and it pretty much ruined the rest of my work day, I didn't go home early but I didn't feel well either. I had a stomach ache, was lethargic, sweating, and had a hard time concentrating on much. Then it got worse.....Everyone talks about the taste in your mouth but not many mentions of the exit.....this was by far the worse part. By 9:00pm I started having hot gas, I jokingly called them fire farts but it was a portent of very bad things to come. From 10:00pm - 11:30pm I made 3 long trips to the restroom. Intestinal discomfort is not giving it justice, I was doubled over, eyes closed, crying and cursing myself for my stupidity. I bargained with God to either help me through or take me then and there. The burning rectum sensation is something that I never wish to repeat and hope that no other human has to endure. After what seemed like an eternity of expelling one pepper from my system I limped myself off to the shower to hose off any pepper shrapnel that may have remained on my backside. Afterwards off to bed for a night of fitful sleep. My wife asked what had happened but I couldn't admit anything....I didn't need anyone to tell me what a poor decision I had made. The next day I had mostly recovered but had difficulty lifting heavy objects without the need to rush to the bathroom with explosive diarrhea. This has since past.tldr; hot, painful on entry, worse on exit, don't eat this - you will regret it.

They actually taste pretty good!
So, I love peppers, but I've never had the courage to try these super-hot peppers that YouTubers do challenges with. This is my first. What surprised me the most is they actually taste pretty good! I imagined they would be dry and flavorless, but they have this very sharp pepper flavor, almost like chipotle sauce. Second, I feel like YouTubers exaggerate a bit too much. These are indeed the hottest thing I've ever had in my life, but they are not going to have you jumping around in pain if you use them responsibly.I made myself a quesadilla and ground about 1 1/3 of a pepper into it. It hurts. It really does, but it's not unbearable. The heat comes in instantly and it stays there for quite a while after. More than any other pepper.I definitely don't recommend eating one whole though. Depending on the person, these might hurt you. So use caution. I will gradually increase the amount to see how hard can these hit. So far, they feel slightly hotter than a really hot habanero, but with much better flavor.Oh, and they cleared my sinuses. I love them!

Received Butch T Scorpions not Trinidad Moruga Scorpions
I bought these to make hot sauce and used the whole 1/4 oz bag to make about 90 ounces of sauce. The sauce turned out great, plenty hot and a good long burn. These peppers are hot! Think of this as 40 lbs of jalapeños worth of heat in a quarter ounce package. Definitely not intended to be eaten whole. Great for sauces, chili, stew, or grinding into flakes/powder for dry rubs or marinades . I received Butch T Scorpions which are very similar and highly sought after as well. A little misleading but no big deal. I received 7 perfect whole peppers in my bag, not crushed at all. I have also purchased the same item from another retailer and got about 15 smaller scorpion peppers. Sizes may vary with this manufacturer but they still do the trick either way. Use gloves every time you handle these.

Infuse Vodka for 24 Hours!
These are as hot as described! There are many cooking opportunities with the peppers, however I personally used these to infuse vodka for 24 hours in a mason jar (I do not recommend going past 24 hours!), they helped create some of the hottest bloodymary's my friends have ever had (They are INTO heat). I've done a few hot wings challenges successfully, so this sick twisted idea sounded good when I texted my buddy to say what I was doing. These are not for the tame of heart, or those who do not like heat, as the package recommends handle with gloves. We used Mcclures's Bloodymary mix, infused vodka, and a touch of ponzo, with a Mcclures's pickle. Usually he adds siracha, however this time he left it out (I said he should add it for the flavor component). These were some of the hottest bloodymary's we'd had, and we enjoyed watching the Lions play on Thanksgiving If anyone has a bloodymary experience with these peppers with a great recipe please comment below! i'd love to try it!

Not same as advertised!
I received a crashing package. The goods is not at all fresh and is quite difficult to identify what I want. Very disappointing and I feel like being scammed!

HOT, HOT, HOT, :'( ?
Let me start by saying that I have been eating Ghost Peppers both straight off a friend's plant and dried from his plant and ordered from Amazon every day for at least 2 years so i kind of used to the heat and love Ghost Peppers. I bought these just to see what 1,400,000 SHU was like :) Well to me there is no real difference between the Heat of a Ghost Pepper 1,000,000 SHU and the Heat of a Scorpion Pepper 1,400,000 SHU unless i got a tame batch or something. The taste to me is almost the same as Ghost Pepper so ya, but they don't look like Ghosts, but at least I can say that I have eating them :) Which as we all know makes me more for a man.... LOL.....
