I bought this because I needed something like it to help in dealing with pet and smoking odors. Plus, my girlfriend has a compromised immune system, so I wanted something that would benefit her breathing positively.I think I found exactly what I needed and the price is fantastic.A word of caution. After reading the instructions, I'm convinced this purifier is dangerous if not used properly. In other words...DO NOT PULL IT OUT OF THE BOX AND PLUG IT IN WITHOUT READING THE INSTRUCTIONS FIRST!Yes, I'm talking to you, macho man. You can seriously affect the breathing of anyone within close proximity (including pets) if you use it contrary to the directions.The "Auto" setting is kind of like a set-it-and-forget-it kind of setting. "Manual" is the setting that you need to be careful with. When used in manual mode, you must clear the room and close the doors for two hours, as it purifies the air with a mega-dose of ions. After the two hour period, everything is back to normal and your air quality is greatly enhanced.I would highly recommend this product to anyone with breathing issues, pets, smokers in the house and any other typical household air pollutants. It does the job quietly and efficiently.

Do not buy. This ozone generator caught on fire in my office. Was mounted to the wall plugged in directly to the outlet. Flames were coming out of the unit.

This compact room ionizer is discreet and quiet. The instructions are a little hard to follow but the device is easy to operate. There are different modes for different size rooms. The device kicks on and off as required by room size. Ionizers clean the air by creating negative ions that attach to positive ions in the air.Other ionizers I have used make the air have a metallic smell, however, this one only slightly has that fragrance.Overall, this is a great little unit that can be wall mounted.

Easy to use and very quick to clear the air. I could smell the difference after a few minutes. Very quiet as well, has a low hum. The buttons are easy to use but could've been given better names. Instructions could be better as well, minor grammar and spelling mistakes. They do emphasize a warning so please read the manual before using it. Very Very Important. They provide a mount if you decide to mount it.Giving it a four star due to a strong smell after/during use. Unsure if all purifiers have this smell since this is my first time using one. This is a house hold of 3 people. I originally had it in the hallway where it splits between the kitchen, living room, and upstairs to the bedrooms where lots of traffic come by, and that was not a good idea. We have it set to auto and it turns on each time it senses someone going by. Works for sure but gives off this strong (I'm not sure of the exact wording) outdoor odor, like almost metallic smell. Only two of us could smell it and didn't like it, the other person couldn't tell the difference. I moved it to the bathroom and it is so much better. The smell is not as strong there due to less traffic and it clears up the air after a dump.*Update*Giving it a 5 star because the smell is apparently supposed to be there as it is an ionizer ozone generator. Also, we got 2 kitties now and it is working wonders getting rid of the poo smell. Such a great investment!!

A must have for cat owners. It's not just great for people, it no doubt helps cats with their sensitive noses! We use ours in our basement in an area where we have their litter boxes. I usually clean all 4 boxes (we have 3 cats) about twice a week. Sometimes work gets in the way and they'll go a full week or 10 days even without cleaning. They're large so its never overboard but let me tell you, the smell IS overboard.After installing this little gem and cleaning them once a week, we literally smell nothing anymore. Not even a hint of it. Where prior to installing it, there would definitely be a basement-filling stench of urine and turds, but not overwhelming. Enoigh to be embarrassing though, not to mention the poor cats. After 10 days though? The smell would start to creep upstairs even (BAD!), so I'm sticking to once a week now. Anyway, after 7 days or 8 max, 0 smell whatsoever. I'm so impressed!!We recommended it to my mother-in-law and she now has one in her basement to get rid of mild moldy smells and one in her mudroom where her 2 litter boxes are. Outstanding product, highly recommended!!

Doesn't kill odors. Tried to get burned cooking oil smell, cigarette and marijuana smoke smells out, and nothing.

I love this product!We have a very medium size house and a large bathroom. I tried it in our large bathroom first which has no exhaust fan currently and a smell from the drain that we haven't been able to get rid of.Well I placed it there first. And my boyfriend asked if I had cleaned the bathroom recently and I said "no, why?" He says because it smells.... clean!We also love cooking and we figured out that the smells of food like of fish and bacon or some types of meats could leave our house with a smell, from meat, fish, and a strong order of bacon being worked on. I love that this keeps the smell almost non existent!I really love this product and I would highly recommend.

While it kind of does the job it's honestly not powerful enough for a whole room situation. Perhaps a bathroom but a small office leaves one feeling a bit ripped off. You will notice when you get it that it comes in a generic made in china box, no printing, extremely poor instructions.....I mean really bad. I'm about half a click from returning it.
